just right for my motorhome

To create a winter water line for my motorhome. I purchased a 25 foot Ebonyline water hose (regular water hose is NOT recommended), wrapped the hose in aluminum foil, ran the heating cable straight through the pipe, taped it every 6" and covered the pipe with 1/2" foam insulation and Plastic. wrap to protect from moisture. The thermostat attaches to the nozzle at the end of the hose, and the end of the cord attaches to the brass elbow of the dwelling. The elbow is then covered with a plastic insulator with a grommet (cut a hole the size of the diameter of the foam insulation in one end to allow the tubing to pass through). However, this 30ft cable is too long for a 1/2-3/4 inch 25ft pipe. According to the specification, a 3-5ft pipe needs 3ft, a 6-8ft pipe needs 6ft, a 9-11ft pipe needs 9ft, a 12-14ft pipe needs 12ft, a 15-17 foot pipe requires 15 feet, an 18-20 foot pipe requires 18 feet, 21-27 feet require 24 feet, and 28-30 feet require 30 feet. Pipes, NEVER wrap the cord around a pipe and NEVER use it on a plastic pipe unless it is constantly full of water
