I haven't been in the 3D printing game that long (maybe 6 months) at this point and it just so happened that one day I noticed the prints were coming perfectly spoiled. So many stretches and a very slow feed rate. Well I did a little checking and found that the plastic part of the extruder that came with the Ender 3 v2 was cracked (definitely user error). That's when I came across the "MK-8 Feeder Black Solid Metal Extruder" and here are my experiences with it. details of when this product arrived may be a bit vague.] So, let's start with the positives: the product is evolving; All made of high-quality metal! It is much stronger than the standard part and the feeling of changing filament is smoother. In addition, the black version of this product is very elegant and fits any printer. This extruder really was a lifesaver in the sense that now I don't have to worry about extruder breakage or bad pressure from the extruder. I would say that overall the part does what it is designed to do and does not misrepresent any of its specs on the seller's side. This part honestly saved me a lot of headaches and for less than $15 this part is definitely worth it even if you have a plastic extruder that isn't broken. Now for the arguments: installation. The part has no protection which means the pneumatic connector doesn't actually fit into the product, you just need to insert the bowden tube into the extruder. I actually had to cut my bowden tube as my air fitting wouldn't come loose, which was unfortunate, but when I did, the bowden tube fitted the extruder perfectly and I haven't had any problems since. I just wish more detailed instructions were included or they threaded the part. Overall, this part is an amazing improvement over its plastic counterparts and makes printing easier and less stressful. If it wasn't for the installation process this product would have easily gotten a 5/5 but I believe they could have prevented this quite easily but the user should have found out instead. Incredible quality; terrible user experience. 4/5 stars!
