After successful installation, Biokey reader did exactly what I wanted. It works pretty reliably for me once I figure out you have to hold your finger for about a second. This may seem a bit annoying, but in practice it is still significantly faster than entering a password. It's just not as fast as my iPhone. (Although I have said that my iPhone is overly sensitive to minor changes in my finger, such as from home improvement). I basically wanted to use it with LastPass so I didn't have to type my long master password just for auto-enter. to complete something on a web page. However, to do this I had to tweak Windows itself to allow fingerprint reader login including PIN and this requires a group policy change as my PC is Windows 10 domain-joined at work. This is because this reader implements the Windows biometric framework, which is essentially used to log into Windows. However, it looked pretty annoying. after all, I love logging into Windows with my fingerprint! After that, I had to fiddle around with LastPass a bit to get the correct versions of the modules installed. However, I followed the LastPass guide. All in all, it's enough to make me consider another purchase for my home PC (although it looks more complicated since I'm running Windows 7!). I love logging into Windows with my fingerprint!
