I bought this set mainly because it has a magnetic backing, and my wife needed an on-demand night light in preparation for our first baby. We now have all 3 setup across our bedroom: one on the bed frame (with the built-in magnet) which we keep on the dimmest setting, one on the outside of the changing station set to the brightest setting which gives just enough backwards light so we can see what we’re doing changing the baby in the middle of the night while lighting up the rest of the room in the direction it’s pointing, and the third we have next to the nursing station. I love the range it has from dim to bright. Dim is just enough to see when you wake up at 2am, and the bright setting is very bright. You cycle in between the two gradually by holding down the middle touch sensitive button. And yes, the description doesn’t state this, but it remembers the last setting.The only thing I did differently was that I didn’t use any of the included adhesive pads. I used Command picture hanging strips because I didn’t want to damage the finish on what I was sticking these to. But the mounting pads they come with are made by 3M and seems to be the heavy duty stuff. The built-in magnet is strong enough to hold onto our bed frame well enough, but in a perfect world I’d appreciate a little stronger of a magnet. No big deal though.Overall, I’d totally recommend these. I’ll probably buy some more for our closets.
