My old shower head broke after years of use so I needed a new one. The idea of a "free rotating collar" appealed to me as the old fixed collar made it very difficult to get your hand in a perfect vertical position. This requires teflon tape and various gaskets. I almost didn't buy this one as some reviewers said it wouldn't stay in place, there was even a video showing it slipping off. I decided to take the risk anyway and I'm glad I did. It was almost too easy to straighten and tighten. Everything is in its place. The shower head has a detachable handle and I also installed a built in valve to turn the water on and off so the handle can be held and still locked. It has not changed the water flow and works perfectly. When installing, as with any connection, I just wrapped a few turns of teflon tape. I later received an email from WaterPoint saying to use less tape than the instructions say. So this might have been a problem for others who had problems with slipping. So installation was easy, it appears to be of quality construction and it stays in place.
