It used to take me about an hour and two soapy rinses to clean most of the short, thick hair in my 80-pound chocolate lab. It was very difficult to get at his dry, flaky, itchy skin without missing a single spot, and then very difficult to wash off all the shampoo no matter how hard I rubbed and scrubbed my fingers. My hands hurt for several days after every dog bath. Imagine this humble little washcloth. Let me tell you this item is amazing and I can't imagine ever washing my dog without it again. Penetrating through the entire coat directly onto the skin, it is extremely helpful in forming a rich, thick lather and distributing it evenly throughout the pet's body. This is great for making sure all of the shampoo gets completely rinsed out and helps get rid of most of the water at the end. For the first time in months, a pup was sparkling clean in under 20 minutes and I didn't have to smack Aleve like tic-tac-toe for a week! giving my very spirited cat his first bath and getting all my fingers out of it. However, the washcloth gets quite slippery when covered in soap and tends to slip off my small hand and fold up. It would be really nice to have a pair of finger loops on one end of the Scrubbie in addition to the existing strap for a more secure fit and improved manoeuvrability. Other than that, big HUGE thumbs up for this scrub from this girl!
