The tester wasn't exactly

The tester gave incorrect readings. Sometimes this interfered with the power supply, which wasn't the case. Basically the problem was that there would be indications of no power causing damage to other equipment. Wouldn't recommend it.

Pros

Non-Contact Voltage Tester - it flashes and beeps when the device approaches an AC voltage that exceeds the specified voltage range without touching the object being measured, and with an audible alarm and LED to indicate adequate security measurement application
