Review on 🚽 Bathroom Motor Assembly by NuTone - Model S0503B000 by Trey Michaels

When my bathroom fan was making an incredibly loud noise when starting up (and the fact that I couldn't just turn on the light since it's a combination light and fan on the same switch), had to I choose to fix it or take a candlelight shower. First off, let me say that I'm NOT that handy - I'm pretty good at setting up shelves (I can make things fairly level and the shelves rarely break down later), but I'm shy with electrical components. I tried cleaning the thing first - I unplugged the switch and then unscrewed some screws to expose the fan - it was incredibly dusty. I cleaned it as best I could and then reassembled it (disassembly and reassembly together took no more than 10 minutes). Unfortunately, after initially noticing improvement, he soon reverted to the headache-triggering noise. So I disassembled it again and this time took a photo of the model and serial number. I found information at Revain and was happy to find replacement fans that looked exactly like mine - and for 1/10th the cost of a professional replacement. So I ordered it, received it in two days thanks to my main membership and installed it in about 5 minutes. And Hallelujah worked with no terrible noise! Eventually I had to readjust the whole armature a bit (bare handed) to minimize some of the vibration, but everything is fine now. I'm surprised (pleased) that this was readily available and so easy to install. If you're nervous about such things, I'll tell you if I can, and if you have even a modicum of manual dexterity, so can you.
