Review on ๐Ÿ“ท High-Quality Sigma 35mm F1.4 Art DG HSM Lens for Sony E โ€“ Expert Reviews & Buying Guide by Park Seo Jun

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Everything about the product satisfied me, the price is perfect.

The market offers very strange evaluation criteria. Aperture? Why rate it with 5 stars? There are also "dark" lenses, but very cool ones. And there are very bad ones with aperture ratio of 1.8. The weight? Also nonsense, not a criterion, as it is extremely subjective. Security? And how do you think users will check the security of the lens? Broken - poorly protected, not broken - good? It seems to me that these questions do not reflect the essence of any lens at all. Much more valuable would be, for example: Sharpness, Speed, Accuracy, General impression. This lens gets 9 out of 10 from me for sharpness, 6 out of 10 for speed, 10 out of 10 for accuracy, overall impression 10 out of 10. All ratings are relevant to work with the Sony A7iii. All photos were taken with this lens on the same trip.

Pros
  • Very sharp. Although inferior to the tops (for example, native 135 1.8), but not much and not critical. In addition, being covered up to 1.8, this 35 is already almost comparable in sharpness to a 135mm lens. Works in tandem with the A7iii stably and confidently, when working on tracking autofocus with a model in the studio - generally gorgeous, no problems. Gives a nice picture. Small filter size. Very good field of view sharpness. Silent. Color reproduction is excellent, the lens does not make noticeable adjustments to the surrounding space. Holds rabbits well. Works well with contrasting light.
Cons
  • Not fast enough when working with dynamic scenes, when you need to quickly refocus from one object to another. But it is paired with A7iii. I think with more advanced cameras, the lens would have shown itself much better. An obsolete construct (to the "mirror") lens was attached with an elongated shank, stupidly moving the lens away from the matrix. As a result, it is quite large and heavy. Well, okay.

In general, I am satisfied, but on a four)

Its pros: this lens is already in every shot like a special story Got cons: With so many groups and brilliant autofocus, I have no right to complain about the weight. Not found.

Pros: Picture, sharpness, af in the eyes works cool even at 6300. After low-budget glass - the picture quality is ALL. With its cons. I put it on a 6300 crop and Iโ€™m still waiting for something, BUT some kind of frail little bottle, maybe flu on sevens. AF speed for 30mm contemporary is definitely higher)
