I got this because I have a pickup truck and compact backhoe with big tires. Regular tire compressors, even the ones with 2 cylinders, just have a hard time putting in the kind of pressure I need. Also, from time to time, I need to top up the air pressure in my well water tank, and that takes more than your usual tire pump as well. And then, I like to use a compressor for a nail and paint gun. I want this machine to do it all.At $280, this pump is not cheap, so you need to know it will do the job. As for pumping up big tires, it does (although they warn, this is not for industrial tractors and semi-trucks). However, there are some issues. 1) The instructions are minimal and unclear; 2) There are ports on each side for pressure gauges, but none are provided; 3) There’s an outlet port for your air hose, but no hose is provided. You’ll have to figure out what to get on your own. 4) The machine takes 2 48-v batteries, but only 1 is provided (you do get a charger with it).I wanted to make sure I had a compatible air hose for the nail gun etc, and a tire gauge with a stem clamp, so I asked a question to the seller. I also wanted to know where I could buy another battery from the same manufacturer. I got no answer to my queries, so I had to make a best guess. Unfortunately, the hose didn’t have the ¼-inch quick connect male end I needed, so that was another order and a couple more days of waiting.The compressor does run reasonably quiet (remember to screw in the muffler), although that’s not a big deal for me anyway.Seems to me, for the price, they could have supplied an air hose, and I'd like to know where to get another battery.
