Knives are junk and don't last long. DeWALT, I expect more from a $70 blade set. Since it's pretty much the only game in town she makes for this planner, you don't have much of a choice. Why such a low rating? I threw the new set of blades into the planner and started with a piece of dried poplar I left on top of the old set. Ultra light cutting at 96 cpm, then switch to finishing setting. I'm talking less than 10 minutes of use and probably 15 or so before noticing a small head start on the product. No, there was no debris (sand, nails etc) so there should be no excuse for such poor quality. Oh, but they are "super hot". Foreign companies produce products according to manufacturers' specifications, and DeWALT is becoming cheaper and cheaper. Easy.
