Description of 🔪 Durable DEWALT Heat Treated Planer Blades, Double Sided, 13-Inch, Pack of 2 (DW7352-2)

M2 laminated tool steel of DEWALT planer blades stays sharper and lasts longer than conventional knife materials. Vacuum heat treating provides longer blade life before user needs to flip to the secound side. New grinding process provides longer life with fewer nicks. Great value with two sets of knives in each package. Machined locator holes help users align knives on cutter head during knife change.

Junk blades fit power and hand tools

I bought 2 packs of 13" Dewalt blades for my 735 planer. After 3 douglas fir boards about 3 feet long, the blades were removed leaving some burr lines. His disappointment is $40.00 per set. The originals lasted much longer.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • No automatic

best price for a double pack

This pack of 2 knives is the best price for these knives. They don't hold the edge very long. They make a blade holder so you can sharpen it yourself. By fitting and purchasing these twin packs you can try the Dewalt planer.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine

Terrible quality planer knives

Bought the blades on December 28th to have when needed. I opened them up and installed them on February 7th and from the very first pass the new blades have left 4 raised ridges running the length of the boards. Revain stated that I cannot return/exchange them as it has been 30 days and DeWalt has responded in kind.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Slightly chipped

Stay sharp for a decent amount of time.

I recently restored old attic boards made from 10 foot by 8 inch pieces of Douglas fir knotted together. The wood was used for the beer tank project. I had to make multiple passes on my DeWalt planer for a total of about 200 linear feet of this wood per pass. The first set of edges became too blunt after the first 150ft of boards were trimmed down to .625". After swapping out the edges, they got the job done and are still going strong. The planed wood has small signs of wear. When I come to a…

Expect more from DeWALT - it's junk

Knives are junk and don't last long. DeWALT, I expect more from a $70 blade set. Since it's pretty much the only game in town she makes for this planner, you don't have much of a choice. Why such a low rating? I threw the new set of blades into the planner and started with a piece of dried poplar I left on top of the old set. Ultra light cutting at 96 cpm, then switch to finishing setting. I'm talking less than 10 minutes of use and probably 15 or so before noticing a small head start on the…

It's still the nicest machine in the store

I have a planer for a year this month. This is still the nicest car in the shop. More used only retractable miter box. I have about 2000 bf untreated jaws. I downsize from about 5/4" to 3/4". They are all 12 inches wide and 10 to 12 feet long. I am now on the 2nd side of my 2nd set of blades so these were bought as a backup. Last time I bought Jay One Set on Amazon. This time I was smart enough to get a 2 pack. Like most reviewers, I wish they had lasted longer, but I won't complain. The planer

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Very expensive

The blades persist for a few seconds.

I easily carved a bunch of American cherries with the original blades that came with the slicer. On some figured maple boards. Basically the 2nd set of blades that came with the planer was fine, some markings but not too bad, I thought I had messed up the 2nd set of blades by accidentally skipping knots. That's why I ordered this knife set. This time I tried to be very careful and be the first to cut each knot. I already got grades on the 3rd or 4th board. I ran another board and there was a…
