Ink transfer makes a messy project

I've worked with removable wallpaper/contact paper in the past, I have to say it's generally good for a smaller project than a bedroom wall. I have a wall with an odd texture that I wanted to cover with this. It wasn't sticky AT ALL, but worked great on every other wall in the room. HOWEVER I decided to abandon my project because of this product and use something else. While I was careful to use a flat card to smooth out air bubbles, it actually removed parts of the image that forced me to use my hand instead. Luckily the little scuffs looked like they were part of the design. As you can see from my photos, image ink transfers easily. I ended up with spots. Luckily, while you can clean them with some water (as pictured), I'm now hesitant to water spray parts of the tree as I feel like it can be washed off right away. I've never had this problem with other products of this type. I have removable wallpaper (another brand) for backsplash that I constantly soak and clean with no color transfer or issues. I didn't like the thin paper either. You can clearly see the texture of the wall up close. I bought two of these but I don't think it would be enough to finish even an entire bedroom wall. I would return a second one but it's been a few months since I bought it and I'm only now starting to apply. I really think it would be good to put a little less emphasis on it. But use something else if you want to use it on the wall.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Don't like it at all, everything's fine
