
I used these to control a stepper motor and found them very useful instead of a direct H-bridge controller as it gives you directional and stepping control signals. It has adjustable current limit, which my previous H-bridge controllers didn't have, and it worked well with the AccelStepper Arduino library. The only downside is that they burn out very easily. I ran the motor on 24v and any loose connection to the motor could burn the controller. If it goes away, it will somehow pull out my Arduino too. I went through several Arduino and controller kits before figuring it out. Don't forget to put a capacitor on the VMOT as well. Although when it works, it works great.
