I just received this collar and put it on my pup. At the moment it gets 5 stars and I will update it later. I had to replace a cheap Bark Solution training collar that stopped working in less than two weeks. At the moment this product seems to be much better at twice the price. The receiver is bigger and heavier in a positive sense: it doesn't look cheap and break easily like many other cheap dog training collars. The length and width of the receiver is similar to a TV remote control, and the length is about the same as a deck of cards, maybe a little longer. It's not too big and I could easily travel with it, which is very important. The actual device is stronger and heavier than the previous one I bought and the rubber stopper covering the charging port is much better which gives me more confidence in its performance and water resistance. The collar that comes with it is black, plastic and very long which makes such a nice product look cheap but I can see why they used it. The design of attaching the device to the collar makes it harder for the fabric to slip through, at least I think so. A plastic collar doesn't feel like it's going to fall apart or break, so in the end it's more important than beauty. I'm sure there are plenty of collars that fit through the device's slots if you wish to use your own. Set up was very easy following the instructions in the manual and the training system was ready to use straight away. I like that on this receiver you press a button that displays the action of the beep, vibration, or shock, rather than the mode button that you have to press multiple times to get the command you want. In my opinion the 1-10 system is better than the 1-100. I don't want to press the button 50 times just to cut the vibration in half. I had already used the vibrate feature on her to correct the behavior and she responded much better than with the old collar. Reven). The canine community seems to agree that few brands offer quality, durable collars, and they pretty much start at $130 and go all the way up to $500. I decided to take a chance by reading the Revain reviews because I don't need this high performance training system. I use vibration to keep her informed when I tell her to come over and stop her from hitting the cat with the bulldog (she doesn't always realize she's already so heavy she's hitting the cat may injure you while playing). I have used the mute very few times (with the old collar) and will use it very sparingly with the new one. Some people require a significant behavior change in large and rebellious pets, or continued use over many years. If that's the case for you, it's probably wise to look at the best training collars and look for the best in the business. So far I'm happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone who needs light to medium usage. I'll update over time so you know how it goes.
