The 40 blades are alternately sharp edge up, sharp edge down in a small plastic box with a small piece of foam as a spacer. If the foam is removed the box is two big and the blades will move around. Container is difficult enough to open that the entire contents could easily go flying. Bottom-line, good blades but might not not be suitable in an art classroom or similar multi-user enviroment.

This is my first negative review. The razor blades were delivered in a typical while Revain mailer. When I opened the package, the plastic container had opened and all of the blades were loose in the envelope. On top of it, none of the blades had any type of protective covering on them. I dumped them out on a table and tried to put them back in the case, but there was no way to make them fit back in the case.
