Near flat and heats evenly, poor wire quality

Update: Going on 6 months. The weak link to this otherwise great product are the wires. Specifically where the wires are crimped at at the connector. 3 of 6 wires have already broken in 6 months. The wires are pretty thin and easily broken over time from the constant movement of the bed. They break specifically where the wire terminals are crimped. Still a great heat bed but be prepared to repair some wire connections from time to time.Modified my Monoprice Maker Select Plus to accomidate this.

Pros
  • Excellent bed, fit perfectly for my Hypercube evolution build.
Cons
  • Heats up slowly, which can increase printing time and affect overall printing quality

Works good, but still not quite flat

I bought this bed to replace the original bed on my Hictop 3dp-17. This new bed still has a slight dip in the middle, but it's not as bad as my original one. Even though Hictop firmware has a on-the-fly auto bed leveling, I still use blue tape to fill the middle and a BuildTak sheet on top to try to get it as flat as possible. My first print is sticking well on it (knock on wood). For the price and speed of delivery, it was worth the buy for me.NOTE: in the picture, you'll see I reverse mounted…

Pros
  • Good price
Cons
  • May require additional assembly and wiring, which can be time-consuming and challenging for beginners

One of the largest heated beds. Works great.

This bed is one of the few largest all in one heated beds out there. Anything bigger, its likely not heated and requires an external heat element.Be aware while its flat, it may have a 50-100 microns variance between the center and the perimeters. If you rely on mechanical end stops, this will be a problem, if you use a inductive probe with auto bed level, then you wont have a problem.I have used a 8x10" glass sheet on this and it worked good when i didnt have a Z probe, as the glass took…

Pros
  • Exellent.
Cons
  • Prone to warping, especially during prolonged use, which can affect printing accuracy

the heat plate works great for the money

thermistor was defective when it arrived. After replacing the thermistor, the heat plate works great for the money. I used the bare side up with kapton tape.

Pros
  • Very nice working Hictop Bed.
Cons
  • Can be expensive compared to other similar products on the market

Great upgrade for a Tevo Tarantula

Works fantastic. Mounted directly to a Tevo Tarantula y carriage and I get around 250mm of printable space without any other adjustment. Also heats up quite quickly.

Pros
  • Works great! Can't have made a better purchase I think for my clone.
Cons
  • May have inconsistent heating across the bed surface, resulting in uneven prints
