Description of 3M 2604 Softback Sanding Sponge

Small diameter sizes allow for grinding in hard-to-reach places. Tough, coarse aluminum oxide abrasive stays sharper longer. Versatile Roloc attachment system works with any 1/4” drill or air tool. Allows for quick twist-on, twist-off disc changes for lower labor costs. Color coded to disc grades for faster, more accurate use.

Nice big size! the best sanding sponges

I use these sanding sponges for wet sanding my polymer clay jewelry. I bought them individually for about 2.5 times more than in bulk. Since I use them up quickly, I save time and money by having a large supply on hand. Although I wish the sponges lasted longer.

It could be great. in grinding and finishing materials

This product could be great. The idea is amazing. The foam makes it a lot easier to get into corners or sandy turns, and it feels better on your hands/fingers. If only they knew how to make sandpaper stick better. The tiny "grain" rubs off so easily you can see it on your piece right away. A few passes is all it takes before you have to use another sheet of paper. I bought it for sanding between wood surfaces and it's great for that, but if only it held up better I'd use it for everything and…

Large Sanding Pads

These fine sanding pads are my favorite for sanding small items. They allow for wrapping spindles and other thin pieces of wood, which is not possible with thicker sanding sponges; it is also easier and more flexible to use than conventional paper-based sandpaper. I used to be able to buy them at our local hardware store as well as many craft stores. For some reason I couldn't find them locally anymore.
