Never worked properly, then broke.

This remote control wasn't perfect from the start. Installation was easy enough, but from the first use it was buggy. The fan speeds were reversed so that "1" was the fastest and "3" was the slowest. Almost every time we turned on the light or fan, nothing happened for about 5 seconds. Half the time nothing happened. As a result, everything fell apart this week. I think you really do get what you pay for.

Fits snugly on the receiver in the fan. Works perfectly.

This is a ceiling fan remote control. They all come with a receiver that needs to be installed in the fan cowl and connected between the fan and the overhead power supply. This works instantly, with a soft touch and has good range. Weird quirk: high speed is button 1 and low speed is button 3. What I liked was that it was instantly recognized by Bond Home's automation bridge, which allows me to control the fan with Alexa. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071GVGVVH/ref=dp_cr_wdg_tit_nw_mr

Doesn't work as it should

UPDATE. After a year of not always having the light on when I hit the wall switch, and having reverse control (1 was fast and 3 was slow), I've replaced this controller with another brand. Lighting and fans are now working properly. FIRST REVIEW. So I've only installed five or six fan remotes in my life. They are not difficult to install. However, this doesn't work as it should. About 30% of the time the light doesn't come on and I have to flip the switch again and the speed changes back (1 isโ€ฆ

Large, but with a dimming function!

As already mentioned, the radio receiver is quite large. I had to install mine in the ceiling (in the attic) above the drywall next to the fan box. The device operates on RF and IR, so installing it on the attic side of the drywall will not affect performance. The difference between this controller and 1/3 cheaper remotes is that this kit dims the light rather than simply turning it on or off. The three wires going to the fan could be an additional 12 inches longer for easier routing in and out

  • Ideal for outdoor activities

  • Brief instructions

Suitable for lamps and ceiling fans

Works great! We have a house that was built in the 60's and all of our fans are connected to the same switch. So to turn the light on and off and leave the fan on, we always had to walk into the room and pull the cord. Bought for a room with switches on opposite sides of the room that don't fit the built in wall control. As another person reported, I installed the bracket by inserting the top screw from the wall switch plate into the bottom hole of the bracket and it works like a charm! I'llโ€ฆ

Works great but too big

For those who haven't played with it, this is a universal fan remote control. It has two inputs (hot and neutral power) and three outputs (neutral, fan control, lighting control). There are four fixed buttons for fan speed (low/medium/high/off) and one for the backlight, which dims when held or simply toggles on and off when pressed. Very easy to install with basic wiring knowledge and can be used with almost any ceiling fan. But this is not a Westinghouse product. Sure, it has a name, but even

Insufficient dimming, insufficient bulb output, long delay time

I bought this because the ceiling fan in my room at my parents house was driving me crazy and I wanted to turn it down. And unfortunately, the house only had three wires to the fan, meaning it couldn't be controlled with an external dimmer without digging up the attic to run new wires, forcing me to use a ceiling dimmer (as opposed to a wall dimmer that I use at home). It works, at least by some definition of work, but it's seriously not what I expected. Specifically: 1. When you turn on theโ€ฆ

Happy with this remote control, but.

I just installed this remote on a new Westinghouse Oasis fan and it works great. (Another reviewer said it doesn't fit the Oasis fan, and while it fits well, it does work with the Oasis fan, I assure you.) Here's what I liked (and disliked) about this remote. :PROS: - Once installed, works exactly as advertised - Long range (I tried it from 50ft from another room and through a wall with windows and a glass door and was able to control the fan with ease) - Allows remote control of your placesโ€ฆ
