but the price is not the same as the

4 stars for what it is and what it is. A tool of such quality that allows the DIY enthusiast to remove and install motorcycle chains at a very reasonable price. This tool isn't a shop quality tool for everyday use, but for the price, it's nothing like either of them. I deducted a star because the tool doesn't come with any instructions at all. Fortunately, there are many videos on YouTube on how to use this type of tool. I highly recommend that you have a digital caliper to measure the head of…

Spend more for a better tool.

I bought this after seeing other positive reviews. I was planning to use it to install and rivet the main link on my Kawasaki Ninja 650R. The holes in the pressure plate for the main links did not line up with the main link pins on my 520 chain, so this tool was useless. I ended up buying a branded tool locally for a lot more money to get the job done. This kit didn't come with instructions but I found some similar tools online so I don't abuse it. I feel like this tool still breaks after a few

No judgment yet

Not sure about this guy yet. Like many others, I had to replace the sprockets and chain on my bike. This tool makes it possible, but after reading many reviews on these cheaper ones I was nervous about using it to break my chain. Instead, I simply discarded the rivets and removed the connection. So I just used it to put pressure on the new link and rivets. When using a press, the press plates would not stay in place once you started tightening. It was incredibly difficult to match the rivets. I

In this case you get what you paid for

As a student, I have very little disposable income. I bought this tool because it was the only one I thought was worth using once or twice (I'm not sure how often you should change your chain, but this is the first time that I own a motorcycle for 4 of the year). Years). I used the largest needle to break the chains and when I was done the needle grew and bent. I think the metal is not machined for hardness at all. I watched a few videos on how to use the tool and followed what they did…

Pin is bent, thread is cut

The documentation recommends grinding the rivets on the chain 530 (motorcycle) to make it easier to remove the pin. However, I wasn't looking at a manufacturer's riveting with a machine, but rather rivets made with these tools (called the Master Link). Since they are not as swollen as other rivets, I chose not to grind them. The bent pin in the photo was the result. After pulling the push pin out of the main bolt, I took a look at the drive bolt (the bolt at the bottom of the picture). This…

Garbage and on a motorcycle do not work

I do not know who here leaves positive feedback on this garbage! I *can* work with a bike or moped chain, but as an experienced mechanic, I had a terrible time with this thing. He failed for four reasons and couldn't do his job. The black steel denotes grade 8 tool steel. The blackness on these parts comes from the paint, not the forging. In fact, a spark test of the components showed they were mild, non-hardenable steel. Your chain components are forged and hardened. So if you try to flare a…
