High Quality GM Part for Relay

The relay I received was packaged in a GM parts bag (and there was no ACDelco brand as the description states). But the part numbers are interchangeable, so that's not a problem. I used this relay to replace a gray GM SPST relay (four pin) part number 12088567 and it worked great.

Replaced both lock/unlock relays at the same time

Replaced both lock and unlock relays. Fixed an issue with a stall strangely caused by the unlock relay. I tested both old relays (using a special relay test tool) and both old relays passed the test. However, this fixed the problem. I would suggest swapping both relays at the same time to avoid pulling hair when trying to diagnose a weird intermittent lock/unlock problem.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • A minor change

These relays worked great on my 2007 Can Am Outlander 800 ATV. I needed to replace a faulty fan relay on my ATV. I bought two and replaced the fan relay and ignition relay. They fit perfectly and being AC Delco I'm sure they will last me many years with no problems. Certainly better than the cheap Chinese relays out there.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Suitable for non-GM vehicles.

This relay will work on non-GM vehicles. I ordered it for my 2005 RAM 1500 to replace the AC relay. It fit and worked perfectly. This circuit has a 10 amp fuse, so I know the relay is rated for 10 amps and maybe more. As long as your relay is a five pin relay with all pins aligned parallel to each other this should work. The pin assignment was identical to the original relay (i.e. 85, 86, 87, 87A and 30). The only reason for 4 stars overall is that I just received and installed it so I don't…

All Around Five Stars

Simple solution to intermittent failure to unlock the doors and tailgate on the second row of a 2003 Suburban. Denso brand, made in Japan Relays packaged in ACDelco bags (see image); ACD PN: D1780C and GM PN: 19116058. The original relay in the car was a Delphi 8867 (complete PN: 15328867) which lasted about 16 years and started to trip as the ambient temperature rose. Then, when everything was cool in the morning, the doors opened. After driving for some time through 90 degrees of heat, the…

Rear Door Lock/Unlock Relay 2006 Chev Avalanche

As always, I have read reviews of previous purchases of this item. There were two reviews saying they replaced their two old relays with these and everything worked fine. The close and unlock relays are the same relay. I bought two of these and replaced my old relays with two new ones. The problem still wasn't fixed so I took my truck to the local GMC dealer and told them what the problem was and what I had done. The price I was quoted for replacing both door lock "actuators" in the doors was…

1999 CHEVROLET ASTRO VAN PROJECT

AS ALL MY CURRENT REVIEWS ARE ONE, I CONSTANTLY INFORM OTHERS THAT PURCHASED PARTS ARE NOT ALWAYS AVAILABLE IF NOT NEEDED. HOW EASY IT IS, I DON'T KNOW HOW THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED, KNOW IT IS A USED VEHICLE AND THIS INCLUDES ALSO FROM A USED DEALER AND NOT JUST PRIVATE SALES. BELIEVE ME I HAVE BEEN A REPO AGENT FOR MANY YEARS. I SEEN IT MYSELF AND FELT BAD PEOPLE BUYING LEMONS. SO MY THEORY IS JUST THAT. NATURALLY WEAR PARTS. OK, WE ALL KNOW THAT. BUT WE NEVER WANT TO SUDDENLY PLACE ON THE…
