🛢️ ACDelco D8050 Professional Engine Oil Pressure Switch Review

Great replacement for my Camaro. My unnamed transmitter had a thin crack under the metal sensor. I hope this one lasts long

Cool Tip: Requires a 1-1/16" deep socket (or ideal). It would be nice if AC Delco developed a part to, say, a 1" socket A 1-1/16 jack is another $7 or more.

It has a 1/8 pipe thread and fits my 4 cylinder Chevy engine. When I started it the light went out, but even with the engine off I don't burn. Bad device.

Well made part. Works as intended, will likely last 20+ years or more if like other senders. These transmitters are a little harder to accidentally break than some other designs. Already threaded with sealant is a nice touch.

Bought for my Chevrolet K10 '78. The item arrived as described. However, my oil pressure gauge fluctuates between 0 and 60psi and the needle doesn't match the charts where it should be 90. This leads me to believe that the device is not working properly or is for a different vehicle.

Worked perfectly for five days. Now the internal contacts of the switch do not close when the engine is off. Acts like he's still under pressure. Removed and there is no continuity between the connector and the outer metal part. I've had several other AC Delco parts fail prematurely and forgot about it. I won't forget again. You shouldn't come back. I will try another brand.
