Ideal for pet water filtration.

I use Drinkwell Stainless Steel Pet Waterer with reusable filter for Drinkwell 360 + 3 month supply of charcoal. These charcoal pellets work great. Some people complain that other charcoal grains are too soft. They are almost identical to the ones that originally came with my filter. I chose the 100 oz (6ΒΌ lb) size because it's very economical. Charcoal pellets last forever and have no expiration date. Since purchasing a reusable filter, I've decided it's more economical to go without filter…

"Old black water, keep rolling "

Terrible, terrible, terrible. I've had mixed results with the "frugal" Acurel (mostly good), but it feels like a slow ink-injecting system. I use this for the Drinkwell Avalon fountain. Back to action. After 2 weeks, 4 bowl cleanings and 2 pre-filters, the water is GRAY, the bowl looks like it went through fire and the (usually white) pre-filter is black (again). Depending on seasonal eating habits, they need a full cleaning about every 2 weeks. This is by far the best charcoal I've used in the 10 years I've had! The water stayed crystal clear (I mean CRYSTAL!) for days longer than any other water (I've used Marineland pellets and other brands of pellets in the past). So I was able to…

great for all my pools

I have 3 pools with different requirements. In my 55 gallon corner aquarium I added a large piece of driftwood with a plant growing out of it. After about 3 days, the water turned so yellow-brown that I could no longer see the back of the pool. It really was that bad! I did water changes but it was still yellow. So I ordered this because it was very good value for money, I liked the container (thought I could use the container to fill with bagged charcoal later. I noticed the water drained away
