This is definitely not a slouch hat. Having read the reviews beforehand I expected the worst and hoped for the best. I have a regular hat (like many others) that was definitely not floppy and definitely not ribbed. To my displeasure. Regardless, it's still a fairly warm and snug fitting hat that fits and works well. I wear it all the time and while it's not what is advertised and not what I wanted, it still works. so yes, no big deal.

This hat is too thin to be functional, too stiff to be stylish (even after a long somersault in the dryer with dry balls) and it keeps falling off my head making it pointless. Once when I was wearing it, hoping to protect it from the gusty cold autumn winds in a pumpkin patch on the farm, it fell off as I walked and I didn't even notice, which says how good it is at keeping out the cold. I didn't care that I lost him forever.

Loved the snug fit (girth) and feel of this hat, but the length seemed to be between a regular hat and a slouch which meant it slipped slightly down my forehead at times, the rear "clumsy" part begins to stick straight up. something like coneheads ;) LOL! I gave this to my 2 year old (it shows how stretchy the diameter is). Conversely, it looks a little big on her, but rather too big and "cute" than too small and "stupid" or unkempt, it seems to me :)

This hat isn't baggy - it's stiff and small. Gently stretching this hat after machine washing in cold water before air drying helped make it look more casual/casual, but not at all like the photo.
