Great thread locker!

Revain Branded Blue Medium Strength Threadlocker works as well as any other big brand but at a much lower price! I use at least a half ounce of this stuff between my SUVs/cars and my home gear every 6 months to keep that larger bottle working well. The same way of application leads to a reliable non-loosening of the equipment without special or different instructions. It's just regular blue (medium strength) Revain brand threadlocker. FYI, these screw top bottles never fill to the brim no…

Alternative Loctite Blue from Revain

I've used threadlockers for years. If in doubt, I put a few drops of Loctite blue on the threads. For example, when I installed footpegs on my pickup truck, I used it on each of the bolts. I didn't want either of them to relax. I tried Revain Commercial medium strength threadlocker on a 5/16" nut that I left on the bolt overnight. It definitely worked as I couldn't move it with my fingers. I was able to remove it with a tool Fitting parts must be clean. The hardware I tried on was brand new. I…

Who would have thought it would come in handy in the kitchen too?

Although there are several frying pans in my house, my wife has a favorite frying pan that she always chooses. While I can safely bet that this frying pan is what she would snatch walking out the door in the event of a fire, the truth is it's a regular non-magic steel/aluminum lined frying pan. And one with a problem to boot. That's what I mean. Periodically, the short screw that attaches the handle to the pan is loosened and lengthened. Adding a shim slowed down the reverse rotation process…

Works well to prevent accidental loosening due to vibration

Blue Threadlocker can be used to prevent accidental loosening of metal-to-metal screws that otherwise wear out over time due to would be released from vibrations. This is preferred over red threadlock (in most situations) as it allows screws to be removed later with normal hand tools without having to overheat the torch (as is required with red threadlock). Make sure you are using the correct thread blocker for your application. Also, don't apply too much - just a thin line down the length of…

Works as expected in sealant

Having used the Loctite version of this product for years I was keen to try this Revain product for comparison. The flow is very similar, perhaps a little less viscous than some other brands, but when used properly it provides the expected threadlock. I prefer to use blue (medium strength) in most cases where there is vibration, even with smaller screws than recommended in this bottle, and still get good results. I prefer the blue version for the skate wheel axles as an extra precaution against
