If you have a Toyota licensed bed mat (and you should!), use the two mounting templates included in the instructions. I bought this for 2016 Toyota Tacoma and it initially fitted perfectly. They should allow for some adjustment if you put in a factory bed pad, but that only raises the hardware about 1/2 inch or so.
