Fits well on the Ram truck. Pretty easy to install and works as described. It took from 1/2 hour to 45 minutes. This is of course better than carrying a stepladder with you. Good first. Installed on 2108 Ram 2500 with Cummins diesel. Installation was easy. 20-30 minutes. The step folds up easily and definitely makes it easier to climb onto the back of my truck. Folds away conveniently under the bumper when not in use. The folding strut itself seems solid enough. Now for the doubts. I bought this product for my 2019 Ram 2500 Limited and it doesn't fit me. I have just processed my return but thought you should know so that I can update the description of this item. The new Ram 2500 has a plastic skirt at the bottom of the rear bumper that contains redundant proximity sensors. Sensor harness and sensor housing are in the way. I had no idea how much I would appreciate this item. I use it all the time to get in and out of bed. There's really no entry and exit when the tailgate is down. I have a RAM 2500 Diesel 2018. Fits perfectly. It was easy to install; However, you must have a torque wrench. My only complaint is that there are three small hex head screws that hold the stage to the rest of the hardware. Good. I would give this 5 stars all the way except for one major issue. AMP folks if you happen to be reading this. PLEASE upgrade the plastic step screws. These screws come with a flat metal threaded insert and should only be torqued to 6 ft-lbs. If you pull even the slightest amount, they will break. I installed this bumper step on our 2012 Ram 3500 with two rear wheels and truck. Initial install time 30 minutes HEADS: - Alignment of spacers in the instructions was incorrect. - Not all necessary tools were listed, I give 1 star for that and for the lack of care during training. Product development first had to go through some dry runs and revise their instructions to include ALL the tools and best practices. - A 10mm flex head ratchet wrench is very helpful when removing the bumper bracket on the RAM 2500/3500.
