The Chinese are on strike again

I agree with everyone about plastic traction. The jack that the cable plugs into is a little flimsy, but the cable looks good. Used the original lock. Damn China.

Cheap product.

Very cheap product. Not cheap, just cheap. The attached object and object will not withstand a single pull on the handle unless the metal wire breaks from the plastic handle. I repaired the hood latch by enlarging the hole/mounting point and using a zip tie to hold the two pieces together.

Cost equals quality. The original equipment was very expensive, but the quality of the replacement was inadequate.

Handle broken after several attempts. The plastic material of the handle is not as thick as the original plastic. Excessive bending can cause the cable to detach from the handle. However, trying to keep the old grip and move the installed cable looks a little shorter and works, but with minimal travel. Normal pressure on the handle can damage the cable or the latch.
