I was about to buy a cheaper protein skimmer but am happy with this purchase. It really cleans the water surface from film and dirt. I haven't had any problems with the suction cups so far, maybe they've been improved. It would be nice if there were a spare filter sponge or two as these get sticky pretty quickly. I usually have to wash my sponge every 4-6 days.
