and the fit is perfect. The fight has only just begun

Ordered 1/2 size larger and fits perfectly. The fight has only just begun so we don't know how they'll hold up yet, but he loves the looks and comfort. They have lace coverage, which is important for a sneaker. So far we are very impressed!

Pros
  • My son loves these shoes so much this is his third pair. The only downside to this shoe is that the insole wears out pretty quickly.
Cons
  • Can be difficult to crack, resulting in awkward use at first

Tight fit but comfortable

My feet are narrow so they fit me, but I see there can be issues with wider or flat feet. I order half a size larger than my Asics running shoes and they fit snug but are comfortable. I've only had one session with them so far.

Pros
  • gift for my son. he likes her, good rating
Cons
  • May not be suitable for wrestlers with high arches.

He says they are very comfortable and support his ankles.

My son really likes these new wrestling shoes. He says they are very comfortable and support his ankles. He would definitely recommend her.

Pros
  • The shoes lasted all wrestling season and my son wears shorts very tight.
Cons
  • May not provide adequate arch support and may result in foot injury.

Nice cheap training shoes

Good cheap shoes for training. A season has passed and it already has visible wear and tear on the upper. I hope that doesn't mean they fall apart

Pros
  • I ordered 2 sizes to fit.
Cons
  • May not be durable enough for long-term use

5 Since I still like the style, I could probably change the size

Too small so I'm usually a 10.5 I ordered but they fit my brother who is 8.5 as I still like the style I could probably switch to a size 12.

Pros
  • My son loved it - the fit was perfect and everything was delivered as expected.
Cons
  • May not have adequate toe protection, resulting in toe injuries.

Great wrestling shoes - especially for wide feet.

For reasons unknown and incomprehensible, manufacturers of wrestling shoes stopped making different widths a few years ago. So you have to hunt around to find wrestling shoes that fit wide feet. After trying a few sneakers, we found these. We still had to buy 1 1/2 sizes larger - my son normally wears a size 7 and we ordered an 8 1/2 - but it fits the ball of the foot in the boot and it fits comfortably.

Pros
  • Bought for my son as he is a beginner wrestler. He feels comfortable in it and wants a second pair.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for wrestlers who require additional width in the toe box.

Good shoes my rating

Son thinks they look cool and fit as expected. A little tight but my son is almost EE and it's a standard width so they stretch.

Pros
  • Please
Cons
  • May have poor overall design, causing discomfort and reduced performance

My child wears these. To be honest we picked them because they are his school colors but so far it's working. He says they are comfortable and have a good grip. No complaints.

Pros
  • Good wrestling shoes. My son said they are comfortable
Cons
  • May not provide adequate ventilation, resulting in sweaty and uncomfortable feet.

I've been wearing ASICS for over 30 years and this is the first pair that has let me down. They fit as expected. I've worn them less than 10 times and the stitching on my left foot near the big toe has completely come undone. Very disappointed as I only use these shoes for referee wrestling appearances. My old pair is over 10 years old and the stitching is still holding. They look great but don't last.

Pros
  • Great shoes, a little tight in the toes. They stretched and fit well but were a little tight in the front.
Cons
  • I will never buy these shoes again nor will I recommend them to anyone!

Good wrestling shoes

My son needed new wrestling shoes. Cleaved soles are hard to find these days. He prefers them to soles. He says it's easier to drive in there, it's a bit crowded at first, then it's good when you break in. They came in a box with no label. It had clear shipping and tracking information and arrived earlier than expected. He loved shoes.

Pros
  • fits perfectly
Cons
  • Can have a poor fit which can cause the shoe to rub and cause blisters.

By far the best option for wide feet.

We tried several pairs of wrestling shoes for my son because he has very wide feet. The toe box on them was the most comfortable (widest) for him compared to the Nike and Adidas we ordered first. He says they are light with good grip.

Pros
  • The sutures came out, but too many
Cons
  • Too small

Good training shoes. - Shoes

I prefer wrestling shoes for training in the gym and Asics are my favorite. As other reviewers point out, this shoe runs small. I wear a size 12 sneakers (and some of my dress shoes are a size 11) but I ordered a size 13 when I bought these shoes and they fit me perfectly without too much room. I also have a pair of Matflex 4s (also a size 13) and they're fine, but I think I like the Slit Second 9 a little more - good support and maybe a little better construction.

Pros
  • Nicely
Cons
  • No Instructions

Reviewed by guy with flat feet

I bought these shoes based on the recommendations I read here on Revain. I recently started boxing and needed something with extra grip and ankle support. In short, they did their job. It was absolutely amazing how much traction affected maneuverability on these Asics. I felt much more secure in my support. As other reviewers have pointed out, make sure you get a full size larger than what you normally wear. I usually wear size 12 or 12.5 running shoes; I bought them in size 13. All in all…

Finally wrestling shoes with wide feet.

I have a wide foot. I usually wear men's 13 EE. Pros: Inexpensive, $60. The sock was perfect and gave good ankle support. Cons: Cheaper plastic materials. torque. Summary: I recommend the Dan Gable Ultimate 4 over the Split Second 9 for its superior support, flexibility, and ankle support (though not as good for wide feet). If you are on a budget, Split Second 9 is a good choice. . Dan Gable also looked more like loafers as it lacked a true toe box.

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • reliability

I like it, do you like it? Idc because I already bought it. =)

Good product. I used this for wrestling in high school and currently use it for boxing. When I had a pair of these shoes in high school, they were mostly fabric with no soles, and after a while I noticed that the entire team had holes in the shoes due to various types of tears and stretches. But when I bought them I noticed that they added a new plastic texture on the top surface that helps prevent wear and tear a bit, not to mention that it looks a lot better visually. The price is hard to…

Off Season Training Shoe

You get what you pay for and I didn't want to spend more than $100 on shoes so my sons can keep training in the off-season. The first impression was that the width of the shoe was very narrow. He had to loosen the laces completely to get an acceptable width. The outside of the shoe is covered in plastic which I don't think will last long. I still prefer Aggressor or Aggressor-2 (also from ASICS) for competition. Compared to other shoes he's tried, they're just 'ok', but they're great for…

About the landing. They're a little tight.

I really expected them to be snug after reading page after page of how wrestlers want their shoes to be as snug as possible - hence the design and fit. My normal height is 11 feet. I ordered size 11. These shoes fit my foot. If you like tight spaces in your shoes, go up half a size. Also if you plan to use thicker socks or an ankle/foot brace or even have your ankle or leg bandaged then I would suggest going up a half or full size. shoe brand. I first tried on two or three different Asics…

Very comfortable, fits men

I've only had them for a few days but you need to order half a size up to get the perfect fit. To put them on, unlace your shoes almost all the way to slip your foot in, remember, folks, these are wrestling shoes! Of course I took mine to wear around the house as they are better suited for that than a pair of shabby slippers. They also look and feel phenomenal. I had these shoes as stage shoes in the 80's and they held up well so let's see if ASICS makes them as good as they did back then. I'm…
