Description of 🤖 Unleashing the Power of Assistant Control: Exploring the Google-Enabled Vacation Experience

Command your home with your voice: when your hands are full or you just don’t want to move, use your voice to turn things on and off by asking your smart Assistant. We made Wyze plug work with Alexa and the Google Assistant so it’s easier said and done. Control your home from anywhere: check the status of all of your Wyze plugs and turn them on or off remotely so you can avoid high energy bills and fire-hazards. On when you need it, off when you don’t: Wake Up to the smell of fresh brewed Coffee in the morning with scheduling in the Wyze app. Custom scheduling in the Wyze app lets you turn Wyze plug on or off at specific times of the day so you can have your Coffee start at 6: 00 AM and turn off at 6: 15 AM. Manage an entire room with grouping: grouping in the Wyze app lets you connect multiple Wyze plugs to one room so you can turn everything on or off at once at the tap of a finger or command to your smart Assistant. Vacation mode makes it look like someone’s home: vacation mode can turn your stuff on and off at random making it appear you’re home so people think twice about coming over uninvited. Automate actions with Wyze sense: use Wyze sense to control your stuff based on motion and open/close events so things turn on when people are around and off when they’re gone. Connects to other smart home devices with IFTTT.

Nice concept, but wrong amperage.

Very easy to install and use but definitely NOT rated for 15 amps as advertised. I had a 12 amp pull on this plug and noticed the plastic started to melt. It could have been very dangerous if I hadn't noticed. So if you have low-powered devices, you should be fine. Above 10 amps, be careful and check the plug regularly.

  • Not all will fit

It costs money and privacy, not just money

Promotes Alexa compatibility. What they don't mention is that you must first download their app, leave your contact details, agree to the privacy policy, and share your location (and who knows what else I entered at this point) to complete the setup. suspect they are monetizing information. There's no reason they need all that just to keep the smart plug functional.

Don't waste money!

This thing is an absolute PIC. I rarely write reviews of my Revain purchases but felt compelled to warn others about this product to save them the headache and time I wasted contacting Wyze customer service. The plugin does not integrate with Revain's Alexa app/devices and that is the only reason I bought it. I've spent about an hour troubleshooting on the phone to no avail. I have emailed several times but have not received a reply. I am exchanging for another product from a different…

Great price, easy setup, great customer service

I bought these connectors because I already had a Wyze camera to monitor our 3D printer and needed a 'switch' for the printer, in case something doesn't work We don't walk like we see on camera when we're far away. It just connects to the app and is easy to set up. Hopefully this plugin won't be needed often, but it definitely works as intended. We also have an additional plug at the same price as most individual smart plugs. Excellent value for money and quality! Update: 10/18/19: Our second…

Alexa zero stars good for electrics

This review doesn't apply to the Wyze connector which works great in its own app. This test is about using the Alexa service, which should work with this device but never worked. Bought because they should work with Alexa. Set them up according to the instructions and the wyze app will find them every time with no problems. Works well in the Wyze app and is very responsive. However, the Alexa app CAN find the device first, but immediately reports that the device is not responding. When Alexa…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Not bad

I have just placed my 3rd order for 2 packs. I use four forks and just ordered more for a gift. They're especially handy for turning my Christmas lights on and off, but they're also great for any device that turns on with a simple switch. You can set them up in groups to light up all your Christmas lights without having to turn them on individually. I use Alexa to manage my plugins, but they can also be controlled from the phone app. They can also be timed or even set to turn on and off…

Pros
  • Sockets and accessories

Really very cool (and useful)

Each little plug has its own MAC address and internet connection. You connect them to your home WiFi (you have your home WiFi, right?) and then you can control the outlets with Alexa or via the Wyze phone app. This allows you to turn on and off anything plugged into the outlet. What I like is that the ports don't need to be connected to some kind of controller as each one connects directly to your WiFi. However, you have to be careful when setting up the little suction cups, which should…

A great alternative to any timer switch

Decided to try these as an upgrade to old socket timers. One for the coffee pot and one for the lamp. It's pretty easy to set up, but not immediately intuitive for non-technical types. This requires the use of their app and internet access. The app allows you to connect Wyze sensors as triggers or set any type of schedule. I suspect IFTTT has some actions that can be used. But there's no Apple Homekit integration, and that's the case with all Wyzes so far. I believe they work with Alexa and…
