The Bad: As others have pointed out, Asus didn't quite do their "quality control" on this monitor. My monitor comes with a stuck pixel that stays either off or green depending on what is asked of it. I would never have noticed this if I hadn't done a pixel test, but given the cost of this monitor it's still frustrating. My only concern is that the included USB cable is stiff and not securely connected to my laptop or the monitor itself. Just shaking my desk makes the monitor flicker. I replaced

The only reason this is for sale is because no one else competes with the feature set of portable displays. Pros: + High frame rates are great if you're connecting to a display in a way that benefits. + Industrial design looks great, super thin, light weight and portable. Look at my other (calibrated and accurate) display from afar. TBD when calibration can deliver good results, but colors immediately look washed out (with sRGB mode enabled). It's functional but doesn't feel sturdy or reliable.

Frustrated by this screen. As others have said, it developed a stuck pixel after about 6 hours of use. For such an expensive portable screen, this is simply unacceptable. I was about to file a repair claim with Asus when I looked through the warranty and while it seems confusing they allow less than 3 "bright dots" as acceptable with the exception of some of the screens they sell. Turns out it wasn't on that list, so I decided not to even try the warranty route. I will return to Revain and wait

Excellent panel but the magnetic cover stand is very weak. Thanks for attention. Recommend a stable tripod. There's also no auto-rotation.

The screen has been giving me trouble for the last few days as none of my USB-C cables charge it consistently. For example, it may work once, but if I move it a little, it immediately stops loading. Or sometimes it just won't charge until I press the button for 5 seconds instead of charging automatically when plugged in. Works as advertised and supports itself without power when connected to the appropriate TB3, USB, VirtualLink port. This is the easiest to achieve and ideal for small form factor PCs and RTX cards. I suspect some laptops have a different USB-C power delivery behavior, so it's good that you can also support a monitor with a dedicated USB-C DC-IN port that is separate from the DP-IN USB-C is. Because of all these variations, this is the best in the portable monitor class.

Actually this is my first review and I will add a small warning. At first I didn't know what to expect from a mobile monitor, but it did a phenomenal job. The first screen lacked a power supply and bi-directional USB-C doesn't work with PCs, but USB-C strangely only works intermittently with Macs. I spent two weeks with ASUS tech support and their solution was (too hard dare) and sent it back to Revain. Lower your expectations with ASUS support. Revain Prime's support has been excellent. When I first got it it worked great. Really nice picture. So why a star? First, I've never been able to get USB-C to work with my 13-inch MacBook Air. The only reason I bought it. Okay, I'll use it with my Apple TV. Worked great. Twice. Now it just won't turn on. I've read that this seems to be a HUGE problem with ASUS. I just got a $500 brick.

So now I'm a bit disappointed. The monitor arrived much quicker than expected as I am in APO. Great! However, it doesn't register that my laptop or switch is plugged in. It mirrors my phone and it's amazing! I'm currently working with ASUS support to figure out what's wrong. Unfortunately, a return or exchange is difficult for me at APO. I love this ad. I use it on my desktop computer all the time and the color depth and contrast are fantastic. A great display for competitive FPS gaming in my opinion. One tip: while you CAN power it via USB-C, it won't provide enough power and you'll find that the battery dies when plugged into a standard USB-C port. It is best to use the supplied power adapter. The speaker was dented even though the box was "unopened". The maker's mark was questionable and I think someone resealed it. The sound quality doesn't seem to have deteriorated, it's just annoying that a new product has fallen into disrepair. The build quality of the soundbar doesn't appear to be the best, so there may have been a glitch in the packaging/assembly process. Asus treats its customers very badly. We bought this monitor and were never able to get a case or tripod. Calls, emails and live chat support got us nowhere. The fragile holder that comes with the kit won't hold it. It was a waste of nearly $500. So angry and disappointed. Beware of this company and their products!
