Great system for a caravan!

After several months of searching this camera system turned out to be just what I needed to support my teardrop trailer. Side mirrors provide limited visibility. I'm usually alone, so being able to see clearly what's directly behind meβ€”kids, pets, large rocks, is critical to safe parking. The camera system is very easy to install. Remove the top license plate screws, slide the flat bracket behind the license plate and reinstall the screws. No wiring, no electrical engineering degree required…

Handles small problems very well.

The camera works better than expected, but there are some issues. Incredibly easy to install on either end. I mounted mine on a top roof rack and reversed the screen view from the front. Mine lasted several weeks on the extended 90 second mode on a nightly charge. There are options to adjust the guides or remove them. I'm not sure how accurate they are, but I find them useful. The camera works fine but the sun has discolored the camera tube, now it looks like copper paint except the other end…

More than just a reversing camera!

The Auto-Vox guys make great stuff! I have two of their backup cameras (CS-2 on my Ford E250 and W7 on my wife's Subaru Legacy) and I got these for my work/camping trailer. It was wired/installed in about 10 minutes as I didn't install it on my trailer license plate. Actually I installed the camera in the trailer and the solar panel on the roof. really 5 minutes installation and you only need one side of the license plate

I actually have another model of wireless backup camera from the same company that took 5 minutes to install on my 2005 Honda Pilot. However, this model needs to take up space both above and below the license plate as the camera and solar panel are separate. While installing the reversing camera was very easy and worked very well, the camera mounted on top of the license plate interfered with the tailgate handle.
