Safety Saved My Home

Constantly securing my tank not only makes my life easier with the stability of my reef, it has saved me twice with built in safety. On one occasion the pipe got lost and when the ATO kicked it started splattering on the floor while I was at work. But the 3 second cut off saved me and ended up with a half gallon of water on the bottom opposite 8. The second time my anemone decided to block the overflow and again the 3 second cut off kept me from over filling the tank.

READ THIS BEFORE BUYING THIS PRODUCT

This is probably one of the worst car accessories you can buy. It flooded my room twice and ruined my entire room floor. It once sucked water backwards into the bucket that houses the pump and dumped about 3 inches out of my tank because the pipe was so deep. The second time around the snail hit the sensor and continued to pour water into the tank until the 5 gallon bucket that the pump was in was empty and all the water fell to the bottom.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Very expensive

Perfect for nano/pico aquariums

Just what I need for my 4 gallon marine aquarium. It's the same as the more expensive AutoAqua Smart ATO Micro at half the price without the red warning light and horn that some find annoying. I like this sensor better than the micro sensor as it is easier to level the water between the two marks on the sensor. Installation was quick and easy, just make sure the one way valve is in your tank. Charging is now one less task every day. I just hope this lasts a long time.

Best $80 I've Spent

Upgraded my tank to 60 gallons and had to refill daily which was time consuming and annoying. For $80 I decided to give it a try and I must say that after 8 days I am satisfied and impressed. Salinity remains unchanged at 1,024 sg and we've already had a flood-free weekend trip. Everything works as it should. Make sure you keep the clean line above the full water level so there is no siphon when the pump shuts off, and make sure you use and install the drain properly in the line and you'll be…

Easy to install and works great in my hydroponic system

Used in a hydroponic system instead of an aquarium. I have a large tank that I use to automatically fill two Aerogarden machines. It was easy to install and worked very well. Only a few days, but works without problems. Just make sure you read the instructions and align the water level sensor correctly. I had positioned it incorrectly and the pump kept filling and emptying until I chose the correct orientation. I have had two Tunze ATO pumps, $200 and $100 respectively, and both failed after a…

Excellent ATO for a reef aquarium.

Works great and takes up very little space. About a quarter in diameter and maybe about 3/4 inch deep? The suction or head is great, my tank/pump is 4ft below my display hidden in the stand. A small pump can easily pump water at this height and can be slightly higher. I have a sensor in my nano display tank and it keeps the waterline slightly stable. Be careful with the snails! You turn on the SENSOR. My tank got a little flooded and some water leaked out. THANKS FOR THE AUTOMATIC…

This is an ATO reef tank 5 to 1 star for 1 night

(thank god I'm on top) 100 gallon reef tank 75 gallon reef tank with Pro Clear 4 in 1 300 40 gallon sumpIf you look closely you can find ATO in the picture. Anyway, he treats this bad boy with EASYNESS. The gauge has about a 1/2 inch drop to fill the arm. maybe go up a quarter of an inch to fill. The pump is quite powerful for its size. Filling takes about 3 seconds or less. and at the time I bought it it cost about $119, so even the best news was worth less when I got it. And it should ONLY be

Wanted to be liked. . But!

At first I was very impressed with this little ATO. Yes, he had several problems. The included wiring is a bit short. Also, the magnetic mount is a bit weak. It was in a tank with African cichlids and I knew they might unsettle him. So I parked a Mag-Float tank cleaner underneath to keep them out of the way. worked fine This ATO worked great for 3 months. Then, during a recent tank cleaning, I noticed that the LEDs were not lit. The water level has also dropped slightly. I thought maybe the…
