It just seems funny that you get a USB switch that requires USB.

Does what it's supposed to. For a few dollars you can get a device that actually comes with cables. There's nothing wrong with that, it just seems funny that you get a USB switch that requires USB Type-B cables and doesn't provide any. Spend a few bucks more and get a device that offers them, as the cost of the cables, even at local stores, will be more than the cost difference.

One works with XP Pro and the other with Vista. Everything was fine until I hooked up an MP3 player to a Vista machine. My Internet Explorer got stuck in a loop so I had to turn off the machine. I removed the switch as the error message reminded me of it. I uninstalled the switch software. Now everything is…

No customer service, defective product

I bought this thing to work as a bottom KVM switch for a USB keyboard and mouse. Yes, this thing only has one output, but let me continue: I was able to plug it into a powered USB 2.0 hub (my monitor in this case) and it would output everything from that hub to my PC and Macbook. In theory this should have worked, and in fact it could be correctly output to a computer (1st edition). However, a hardware or software issue caused the second output to never toggle (using a keyboard shortcut). I…
