BETOOLL HW0107 Valve Stem Seal Pliers: Ultimate Tool for Effortless Valve Maintenance Review

Used these to replace valve stem seals on my 2001 Honda CR-V. I had to buy a new tool as I couldn't properly tighten the seals with any pliers I had, they worked great. I will say the quality is not outstanding, the center pin is very loose so the two halves connect fairly loosely. A rubberized grip would have been nice too, but for the price, it couldn't be better for casual use.

Sales ad for the wrong tool. A pair of flat blade clamp removers were shipped to me with mismatched stickers on the back and a promotional card underneath the plastic. However, they are sold as "Valve Stem Seal Pliers" which I ordered. Obvious false advertising bait. I have photos and videos to prove it. I ordered a valve stem replacement tool and received a flat-head hose clamp pliers. oh wow

Came packaged like another instrument which confused me for a minute but as soon as I looked at the jaws I realized this the right tool is . It did the job as expected and a lot better than trying to use needle nose pliers or whatever. It's still difficult to pull those seals and I almost got tired, but they've been welded to the stems for 16 years so I guess that's to be expected. Not professional quality but they fit me.

This has held up great when I removed the valve stem seals (original seals) on my 23 year old car. old Land Cruiser (316,000 miles). The seals were very hard and didn't want to come loose easily. With as much pressure as it takes to unscrew them. I was afraid the tool would either break or lose grip on the seals. As it turns out, there's nothing to worry about. This tool is durable. Couldn't be happier with it.

I bought this valve stem seal remover thinking it would be "once and done" as I probably won't be replacing valve stem seals any time soon. But the packaging says it's for spring clip removal, and boy is it doing a great job with it! I've used it on several hose clamps when assembling an engine and it's far better than regular pliers for the job. Curved jaws help hold the hose clamp so it doesn't slip out easily.

Tool contour/ergonomics are excellent for use with Honda DOHC cylinder heads. My only concern is that with pusher valve seals, if you apply excessive pressure while pulling, the body of the tool will flex. This flex means that my extra effort to compress more doesn't really result in more traction. The ribbed end of the handle that pulls on the actual seal is good, but not ideal - a sharper diamond handle design can grab the valve seals more effectively.

These stem seal pliers are a must have on any DOHC Ford vehicle as you have virtually no room to strip your fingers to remove the stem seals with just needle nose pliers. And if you plan on reusing stem seals (which I wouldn't recommend unless they're new), forget it. You will most likely rip them apart if you don't have this tool. This is the best tool for valve stem seals and even if you can remove and install them with an old fashioned needle tip or regular pliers you will thank god when you
