Great for the price.

Great for the price. Drilled the exact same holes as the old ones, works great. I like the LED models, but for the price you can buy extra ones and swap them out if needed. These things work really great.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Direct replacement for 2013 Keystone Alpine

They were a direct replacement for the headlights in my 2013 Keystone Alpine 5th bike. The only thing I didn't notice is that these headlights only have 2 wires instead of 3 like the original. I just had to add a ground wire to them by screwing it to the back of the case and adding the wire.

Pros
  • Several competitors
Cons
  • Secret

Ok but I need help right away

How hard is it to paint them inside with reflective silver paint? I noticed that they are very well designed, but the light intensity sucks! So for the alloy wheels I took a can of paint and painted them inside and now they are 50% brighter and have a better viewing angle at any distance. Updated with a video how to do it.

Pros
  • That's great
Cons
  • I'll write back later

Good light for the money - defective bulbs in both units

Good light for the money - defective bulbs in both units. Bought two of these lights. I checked both and found that the red wire (STOP - high brightness) had a short to ground. The brown wire (rear light - lower brightness) lights up. I removed the bulb and checked again. There is no short circuit in the lines. I checked the light bulb - it has a short circuit to the case on one of the contacts. EXACTLY the same on the second block. You must have a bad batch of 1157 lamps (probably from China).

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • poorly thought out

This is a great economical trailer light.

I have a homemade trailer and I damaged a previous pair of lights of this type so it was an easy replacement and at around $10 a pair they are worth it. The lights are in metal housings which must be grounded to your trailer frame or you must run a separate wire from the trailer socket ground to the light frame. There are only two wires and both to the lamps. Mine came with 1157 bulbs and I bought a pack of 10 bulbs from another site for about $4 because bouncing on some pretty bad dirt roads…

Pros
  • Still happy
Cons
  • Not bad
