Nice kit of tools in a very nice pouch. All the essentials for bonsai care except you may want to use a dinner fork as a root rake because hook does not work as efficiently.

The main tool, the branch cutter is defective. It will not close all the way, so it won’t cut the branch off. It’s pretty annoying. I tried heating and bending but can’t get the 2 sharp edges to meet. Most likely I’ll have to take it to a welder/metalworker. I like the rest of the kit and been using it heavily in the past week since I got it. Overall a decent kit, quality is what can be expected at this price point. I just wish I could use the branch cutter.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I received my 14 piece bonsai tool set today and I am very impressed! It goes way above my expectations because of some of the negative reviews. Everything is on perfect condition and I received each and everything that was shown in the description. The only reason I didn't show the rolls of wire that comes with it is because I wanted a picture of all the tools to show how they came in perfect condition.

Have not used the tools yet being located in snowy winter weather. The tools look very sturdy and we'll made. Nothing loose. The tools were oiled to prevent the from rusting. The tool holder case is well stocked and we'll made. Zipper is strong and case is Well made to protect these tools.

Great kit for the beginner & the intermediate bonsai artesian. I have better bonsai tools, but, I paid as much for 2 tools as I did for this entire kit. I’ve started a bonsai club & I mainly bought this kit so beginners could have some tools to learn with. These tools will do the job quite nicely. For the price I feel it is a great kit. Poor quality and HUGE! I wasn’t anticipating them being so large but they are also such poor quality it deems then functionless. The edges of the snips rub so hard that you can’t comfortably use them and the edge is so dull it doesn’t cut even smaller branches.

Best option for the price. They’ve hand made these tools so they aren’t without imperfections but that is to be expected when something is hand made. Really sharp and heavy - Each tool is VERY stiff upon arrival so OIL EACH TOOL AT ALL JOINTS and keep them clean - this set will last you a long long time. The tools arrived dull and showing rust. The 14 piece set isn't worth the $70 price. It seems that seller is reusing the item number for a different 6 piece set now. Can't comment on that set but after this disappointing experience I'll use contemporary style tools, they perform better for less cost and headache.

Excellent tools! They arrived in a timely manner and nicely packed in the box. The case is nice and sturdy. The tools are great. They worked quite well when training my juniper bonsais. I highly recommend to other buyers. Good tools at a great price. Thank you!

The metal is primitive looking steel.It's crooked, warped, irregular shaped. Blades don't operate cleanly. Will hack limbs instead of cleanly pruning. Any regular household scissors are better

I haven't had the chance to use all of the tools yet. The ones I have, work like they should. Nice feel to them and in a good case.

Even for a starter kit, these tools are crap. They are stiff and not sharp. The will damage the plant and cause slow growth. I guess if you reall need all the tools ard have no money they are good. but none of them are realy sharp like you need. and they have light rust on them. just save yourself the efort and get something else.

Just opened the kit. Wire cutter tip is broken. The tool kit have been used for sure. And most of the tools are rusted. Many of them dont align well to cut appropriately. I can say I will use it in the beginning but the broken corner of the tip of wire cutter makes it not useful and I am considering returning it.

The tool set came in a timely manner. However, one of the tools (the bud shear) became warped after 4 days of use and no longer functions appropriately - it barely can cut.

Product came in good condition all are looking great but the broom is missing in the package. Could you please ship it to me.

Good beginners tool set for bonsai care. Quality of steel is average and required significant time to adequately sharpen. If you have money, like anything else, quality is expensive.

Good tool set, sharp cutting edges. Only thing that could have been better is a more precise milling at the junction. Several were harder to open then usual. Maybe they will loosen up a little with use.

If you are starting with bonsai and you are learning how to use each tool, these are amazing, but the next step is to upgrade to a better toolset

These are very heavy duty tools, although they are nimble enough to work around my very young bonsai (3-7 years old). The case is great and sturdy and doesn't look too industrial in my minimalist bonsai shelf. I keep alcohol cleaning pads in the case to use before and after. The only real issue is the hand saw is GIGANTIC! I don't have any branches large enough to warrant that beast, but I think I will put it to use outside on my larger plants.

This set seemed to be a good value but I guess you get what you pay for. So far I have used the root rake and the pick and they worked fine but the cutting edge of the cutters was not machined properly and they don't snip a clean cut. I should have spent more $ for fewer tools and got better quality.
