This is just an awful product that does not work as advertised. i am a surgeon I know what sharp blades and tools are. This was a replacement for my 8 year old Series 7 Pulsonic. I really liked the improved shave with this razor. Unfortunately, after a few months of very infrequent use (without having to go to the office), the cleaning and charging station stopped working (without charging or cleaning). The manual that comes with it is TERRIBLE. The only complete sentences in English are the words of a lawyer. Want to know what settings are? Much luck. Want to find out what this button does? Big chance. There are some charts that take MUCH longer to understand than a simple sentence or two and are still incomplete. There is a button on the razor with no explanation of what it does. Do you want to find a user manual online? Good Hunting! Braun's main downside is on the user interface side.

I considered throwing away the $200 razor but have had many disappointments with previous purchases. Oh so glad I did. My favorite feature is the shaving head, which allows me to shave efficiently and avoid cuts. Can be used for all shaving/trimming purposes and is easy to transport. The only problem is that I want the beard trimmer clips to be higher numbers since I'm growing them out.

Too bad I shouldn't have spent the extra money on a SmartCare® charger/cleaner/oiler/trinket. The whole package is *much* more than it takes me to shave every morning. Also, without a giant sphere, it's impossible to protect the screen when not in use. Three stars because I'm happy with three points out of twenty that I will actually use. Next time I'll use a simpler model.
