Works great. Due to the construction of our old house, we could not install an extractor hood. This really helps reduce the amount of smoke in the kitchen when frying bacon etc. They last about 6 months before needing to be replaced. The smoke doesn't remove it, but it helps a lot. We will reorder.

I agree that when unpacked it was a little thin, apparently the frame was bent; Now that it's installed, it runs on a fan and is useless. I just put the original back in. 2 stars not one because I may have damaged it which is causing this problem but it's actually too weak. It is also thicker than the original, which can cause friction. I would not recommend buying this product.

I use a ventless range hood and it compares perfectly to the metal hood that comes with charcoal, it helps with odors and steam. For me the most important thing is that it keeps the exhaust clean and running smoothly after several months of use. I looked at the fan and saw there was no oil, no residue, no dirt, nothing dirty, I was amazed. It's just a strainer to catch grease and other particles from cooking on the stove. This filter snaps effortlessly into a suitably sized slot. This strainer catches most of the large particles of fat produced during cooking and many of the smaller particles. Soak it in hot soapy water for easy cleaning. Really perfect fit for my fan. I used to buy the same filter from other sellers and it didn't fit perfectly so the center of the filter (sucked in when the fan was on) was rubbing against the fan blade. This stays in place so my fan doesn't make a loud noise.
