🔵 BURCAM 300506S 1/6HP Automatic Submersible Utility Pump - Black/Blue Review

I searched through pretty much every pump I could find to find a pump that can stay plugged in and still work when water and the required function is on are. I've tried things in the past like a pond pump that shuts itself off automatically when it's dry, but even the instructions for that pump clearly state that it shouldn't be left plugged in.

Seemed to clog easily. We put it in a window well which is advertised but clogged slightly due to sediment in the window well (we have gravel on the bottom). and started working again. Also, we have a hose that goes up and out the window. When the auto shut-off shuts off the pump, any water that was currently in the hose will be recirculated through the pump and returned to the right place.

The pump pumps water as it should, but is not dependent on the function of the float switch. I bought one of these in June 2018 and less than 2 years later in February 2020 the switch failed. Then I bought another one and in less than 8 months the switch wouldn't turn on either. It would be a guarantee, but I see no reason to want another. It is better to buy a pump without a float and use an external one. I didn't use the pumps much, like a condensate pump, and also pumped out the sump about 2

I installed this pump in one of my window wells to pump excess water during heavy rain. Leaves clog the device. The pump has been running for some time and required annual maintenance cleaning to ensure the float was working properly. Unfortunately, the float sensor stopped working after about 2 years, causing the pump to run non-stop. I immediately found the problem that the pump didn't burn out, but the pump is now useless for my application and $100 was wasted.

This pump is probably good for something, but I wouldn't recommend it for use if you want to set it up and forget it; You know the whole purpose of an automatic on/off function. Very seldom has it actually worked properly and at the moment it just hums loudly and doesn't move the water. Be careful how low you set it.
