Stands the test of time

They are well made AND extremely durable. If you're new to networking, you need something that just plugs and unplugs and can handle the load. Even experts make mistakes when wiring networks. In fact, I've found that everything Cable Matters makes is of high quality.

  • handy

Great deal on quality trapezoid stones

Great deal at about a dollar each. Comes beautifully packaged with each keystone in its own sealed pouch. Will probably work well in a retail store if you're selling them by the piece. Comes with a nice bracket to make it a little easier, as well as clear instructions. Good quality. Works best with a puncher with cutter. The metal joints on the capstone are diagonal, so it can be a little tricky to get them in the right position without a hit. Well, if you want to pursue a career.

Pros
  • Few competitors

  • Only available in white

Need your own push tool

They are easy to install and the push plate is much easier to hold in your hands than just a jack. You do need your own slide tool though, which is a bit odd considering all individual packages come with a small plastic tool that works great for me. I suspect they expect only pros to buy such a large package. Anyway, I already had one of the little plastic tools from buying the jack at the big store. Hooking it up is easy if you follow the instructions, and the ones I installed pass the speed…

High-quality jack at an unbelievably low price

I am a data cabling technician and therefore have a lot of experience with network connectors. I have used literally thousands of bushings from all brands (Panduit, Leviton, Hubbell, Siemens...). To reduce labor costs, I tried these connectors from Cable Matters. At $1 a cart I decided to give it a try. Most other bushings I've used are $5-7 each. I've used about 200 Cable Matters connectors and haven't had a single problem with them. The manual hammer assist that comes with the jacks is really

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Almost everything there

Elegant! I've installed quite a few keystone jacks in my time and really like them. The wiring diagram is simple, making simple installation a very easy visual inspection. Some jacks I've used in the past have more confusing schematics (like the Leviton) but they have the pairs on the same side, not side by side, and each pair is in the same order (white on back). , solid forward). This is the first CableMatters product I have used and I will definitely use it again. The included stand is a…

Wide jack causes some problems in certain installation situations

These things work as they should and individually they are a fantastic product. They are cheap considering they come in a pack of 50. But there is a rather serious problem that can arise under certain circumstances. These blocks are physically WIDE. Wider than any other keystone jack I've used (Monoprice, Leviton, another brand I can't identify). everything looks solid. In this scenario you're good to go, don't worry, 5 stars all day. Moving on to some serious networking needs and wall panels…

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibrations
Cons
  • No power

They worked great for me!

So I ordered two packs of 50 and used up most of them. I haven't had any dropouts and when I tested them with a good line tester they showed great results. I've used them with Cable Matters Cat6, 23AWG, solid wire. The punch down stand really helped stabilize the connector when it was inserted (I didn't usually have a good hard surface nearby to hold the connector, but holding the connector in the stand and in my hand worked great) . ). As a punching tool type, I would recommend the Krone type.

  • GOLS certified
