I expected more from the purchase, but not the worst option.

According to the testimonials and examples found online, I used a Canon 550D to take the picture. Because I work in tourism, it was assumed that there would be more stringent operating conditions. Because of the cost, lenses with protection against dust and moisture were not taken into consideration. The first campaign was fought bravely and successfully. My greatest concern was with the dirt. Despite the fact that the lens was not taken off, a speck of dust managed to find its way onto the…

Pros
  • The price, a universal range of focal lengths, a fairly quick autofocus, a light weight, and a stabilizer.
Cons
  • 18 mm barrel, I try not to use this distance; dark, you can only shoot people indoors with an external flash, even the built-in one is not sufficient; the backlash of the trunk is quite large, it leaves when walking.

I brought it along on the vacation with me. Completely content. However, it was not possible to purchase compact bags that were designed specifically for a camera that already had this lens attached as well as a set of batteries. I was forced to transport it using a standard shoulder bag for men. Got pros: Affordable costs for lenses. Versatility. While traveling when every extra gram is a burden on your arm and back, you can utilize this. It's great for landscape photographs, and it's not…

The quality exceeds all expectations, I recommend to buy.

Of course, this is a new lens. But it covers a huge range of focal lengths. And this is a great opportunity to try and understand where you want to move on and what to buy from more serious glasses :) Pros: The workmanship is head and shoulders above the whale 18-55. The assembly is solid, the boyonet is metal, the rubber bands are good, the rings spin comfortably. Distortion is normal. HA too. He doesn’t have a “drawing” or some kind of intricate color rendition, he just shoots as is. Its…

Not a bad product, quite normal quality.

I took it with Kittom to Canon 60D. In general, the lens is good. The price is reasonable, the lens is worth the money. Universal in focal lengths, and as the first (KIT) lens is very convenient. True, after 4-5 months of use, sometimes its laxity causes concern, but this does not affect the work in any way. Pros: Versatile, good range of focal lengths. Fast autofocus. Good stabilizer. Impressive size. Got cons: A little chromate. Darkish. Short stroke of the focusing ring (if you focus…

The best purchase in my life, I will definitely buy it again.

Everyone is happy. The disadvantages are compensated by the price. Different pros: 1. A truly versatile lens 2. sharp enough 3. stabilization 4. Fast enough at wide angle 5. price (especially if included in the kit) 6. the front lens is fixed (convenient for polarists) Got cons: 1. sometimes "pensive" when focusing, but rarely makes mistakes 2. could also give a hood in the kit) 3. for crop, when switching to the full format, you will have to change (which is a pity)

Not a bad product, quite normal quality.

In general, it is suitable as a more universal replacement for a whale, especially since there are practically no alternatives at this price. With skillful use, it can give a good picture. Like whale - worth the money. Once you get used to it, it turns out to be convenient and versatile. Different pros: Compared to whale 18-55; solid appearance, more durable construction, more versatile focal lengths, non-rotating trunk. Got cons: Not far from the whale optics, rather slow autofocus, sometimes…

It's the best purchase I ever made, I will definitely do it again.

I use it together with canon 1100d, someone wrote about the resolution - it is enough, at least for my 12 megapixels. for the money, a more than adequate lens Has some pros good picture, universal range of focal lengths, adequate stabilizer, not noisy, aperture better than that of a whale, relatively fast and accurate autofocus, solid appearance (important for weddings, etc.) Different cons: barrel at 18 mm (slightly), at a large zoom sometimes gives a stir, a slight backlash of the outer tube…

A reliable product, quality is acceptable.

I have been using the lens not so long ago, I really liked it after the whale 18-55. It is made quite qualitatively, the proboscis does not leave (yet), I noticed only weight from the minuses. I think in the future I will add my review of this product. I will try to find all the advantages and disadvantages of this glass. With its pros. The image stabilizer works well, focuses very quickly, perfectly replaces the whale lens! Its cons: Heavy (half a kilo, after all), although my camera also has…

I have not regretted the purchase, everything is fine.

a good glass option for beginners - to understand which focal lengths are most needed and what will be missed) I took it for several reportage shoots, compared it with my glasses (fix 50 / 1.8; 70-300 IS 2 USM; 10-18 STM) loses to everyone in the picture three, but universal focal lengths and a cheap price) Some pros: price-quality, universal range of focal lengths for reporting, the presence of a stub, strong enough for its $ Cons below: the picture is boring, lathers, take it only if there is

Just super, the product is made wonderfully, very satisfied.

I am happy with everything, the product matches the description.

Stolen on a trip:( If not for this, I would have used it further. I won’t buy again - see the shortcomings. The main thing is chromaticity ! For your money (now you can find for 11000) a quite decent lens for photos I used it without UV protection, given 5.6 at a long focus - it saved a little. Pros: Not heavy, bought instead of a whale 18-55, sharpness is noticeably higher. The zoom and the work of the mechanics did not cause any complaints. Worked 100% on a special trip for architectural…

I am very happy with this purchase, I will advise everyone!

Great travel lens at an affordable price. If you only have one, that's it. I compared it for a long time when buying with 17-85 - I definitely won this one, and in all respects. Well, I’m not even saying that the difference with the 18-55 IS Kit is colossal - this is already clear :)) Its pros: Excellent value for money. Very well made. Despite the lack of USM - quite nimble. IS - really working (I have the declared 4 steps;) For this price category, the distortions are extremely…

Satisfied with the product, I recommend it to everyone.

In general, I want to say that I liked the lens. Despite all the shortcomings. It's hard to shoot indoors at ISO100. A flash or a tripod is needed, otherwise it's useless. Good metal bayonet. On the set, the camera fell right with a tripod on the rocks. I only scratched the lens cap. The lens itself is nothing at all . If you have money for it, buy it. You'll like it. Still, not for life . A little later you can take something better!

Pros
  • Image stabilizer, fairly fast autofocus, good focal lengths. The weight. Comfortably lies in the hand. Wide angle.
Cons
  • picked up dust. The assembly is not particularly impressive. Inside, everything staggers, backlash. Of course it doesn't show up in the image.

Good product, I recommend that you try it.

A typical traveller. No more, but no less. I put 4 points for the fact that the lens fully copes with the declared characteristics. This is a lens for walking in good weather. At a narrow aperture, it shoots decently. The zoom range is sufficient. The stabilizer is working. The only thing he has is "whale disease" - a barrel at the wide end. But if you shoot on it in bad weather - it's not the same anymore - a harsh vignette arises. For a portrait or indoor reportage, it is dark. For a…

Pros
  • price-quality-opportunity ratio
Cons
  • focus is slow, no lock

I am amazed at how well the product is made, just magically!

I bought it in a set with 550D, I knew in advance that I would take it with him. Pleasant and fairly smooth running rings. I use the long end for portraits, the wide end for landscapes. In general, I am satisfied with the purchase and I can safely recommend it to AMATEURS :) Now I switched to 50 1.8, and I use 18-135 only with a flash indoors, where a wide angle is needed do not turn the focus ring on AF - the mechanism will fly to hell :)

Pros
  • -price quality - comfortable FR - a decent choice, instead of 18-55 - autofocus -stabilizer - the front lens does not rotate
Cons
  • -dark (but for the money it is better not to find) -when focusing through the LCD hard tupit -HA on contrasting zones - protruding trunk - thinks for a long time in the dark

Wonderful quality, one hundred percent satisfied!

I'm happy with my purchase and won't change. Great lens for the non-professional. Compared with other lenses. I don't think you can buy anything better for the money. I’ll add !: I wasn’t going to change it, but I changed it - I got a new Canon EF-S17-55 / 2.8 IS for 950 euros, so I couldn’t resist - I bought it (normal price 1100-1200 euros). Satisfied in proportion to the cost, and the new one is 3 times more expensive, respectively, there is also 3 times more joy.

Pros
  • Sharp, fast, wide angle - good for landscape. The approximation is large enough.
Cons
  • At 18 - a pillow, which is not visible after 24. Chromatic aberrations.

There are pros and cons, think before buying.

I needed such a lens that it was at least a little better than the whale 18-55. At first it seemed - wow, how wonderful he is, how wonderful! You can wind the filters, there is a convenient focus ring, and (thanks to the dimensions) it is much easier to show off in front of the young ladies. But . Perhaps this is the fault of a particular specimen that came across to me, however, in comparison with a whale, it: - three times more expensive; - twice as heavy; - has a trunk that constantly…

Pros
  • Approaches better and looks more solid than the whale :)
Cons
  • Unsharp, dark, no trunk retainer.

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I'm satisfied, the product is exactly as described.

The lens came with the 60D (KIT). I deliberately chose this particular lens, because. I switched from a 12x ultrazoom to a DSLR, and I wanted to get something similar . I didn’t want to carry a bunch of lenses with me. Rather satisfied with the lens. Over time, I adapted to its weak points, so the quality of the resulting images suits me. Sometimes, it’s even interesting to experiment with different settings (I rarely shoot without preparation). For shooting indoors, this model is a bit…

Pros
  • Solid appearance. Good image quality at the far end. High quality lens manufacturing (Taiwan).
Cons
  • Barrel and pillow, and strong at small focal lengths. Dark though. the 60D manages somehow. Slow and noisy autofocus. Manual focus control takes some getting used to - the focus control ring is far from the camera.

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Average quality, not an outstanding product.

If we compare 18-55 and 18-135, then the sharpness, color reproduction and contrast at the focus of 18 mm and up to 35 mm are absolutely the same. , and that’s barely noticeable, and that’s it. The only thing is that 18-135 has a longer focus and it pleases. It’s even more convenient to hold in your hands than 18-55. suitable for photographs "Vasya was here."

Pros
  • More versatile than 18-55
Cons
  • In sharpness it does not differ at all from 18-55

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Didn't quite buy it well, had a little trouble using it.

I took it with Canon 550D, based on reviews and photos on the Internet. I am engaged in tourism, so more stringent operating conditions were assumed. Lenses with dust and moisture protection were not considered due to the price. The first campaign withstood with honor. My biggest fear was the dust. A speck of dust made its way to the matrix, although the lens was not removed. Everything inside the lens is clean. In general, I am satisfied. A good combination of price, quality and versatility…

Pros
  • Price; universal range of focal lengths; fairly fast autofocus; not heavy; stabilizer.
Cons
  • The backlash of the trunk is quite large, it leaves when walking; 18 mm barrel, I try not to use this distance; dark, you can shoot people indoors only with an external flash, even the built-in one is not enough.
