Worked great but needed an extension to finish.

That worked great. Without them I would never have pulled the valve. I saw a similar product online used with a drill press but it cost $200. I bought a 1" connector fitting with a slightly larger diameter than the valve (1" I think) and used it between the faucet and the puller to pull out the final end of the valve. It was really sticky. Once the valve was removed installing the new valve was easy and wow no more leaks. The entire project took just over an hour, including a trip to Home Depot

Will safely pull stuck Moen valve cartridges

I have this to pull Moen valves that have been installed for years (assume 35 since the house was then built). I couldn't pull it out with pliers, before that I ordered this puller. The puller worked the first time. The valve body is not damaged. The puller doesn't want to stick directly to the valve body with a wrench to turn the puller, but this is easily done with one hand while the other turns the wrench. Like most specialty tools, it feels a bit overpriced. But I think you should compare…

It didn't work without it!

The cartridge eject tool didn't make it easy to remove the cartridge, but it made it possible. Somehow the rubber seal on the cartridge got stuck in the cavity making it difficult to rotate the cartridge at all. It also made the animal remove. It took some time and effort to twist and pull back and forth, but it came out in the end. The puller was indispensable. My only concern, albeit minor, is that in over 20 years of owning a home I have never needed a puller. Now that I have it, I just hope

  • Useless features

When it arrived I immediately took the kitchen faucet apart to replace the cartridge. You can imagine the disappointment when I felt the supplied screw was too short. For this I reduced my rating by two stars. I emailed the company and never got a reply - gave them another star. A visit to the hardware store solved the problem. Detail: Fits the sink faucet with the included 2.5" screw, but not the faucet in our kitchen. For the kitchen faucet, I needed a 4" bolt (size 10-24" x 4"). A minor…

"Moen Cartridge Peeler Tool "

I bought a Danco remover designed for "stuck" Moen cartridges (1222 series). My DIY job / replacing a stuck/leaking cartridge/showerhead. was baby food, thanks to the Danco Puller Tool. I probably saved at least $150 by being a DIYer. I first contacted Moen about a "leaky shower head". Moen CSR understood and sent a free Moen 1222 series cartridge. World class service from Moen! I had a hard time getting the "old stuck" Moen cartridge out with pliers. I've watched many "worst case" home…

Saved me hours of struggle

So before I got this tool I tried everything to get my old cartridge out. I gently tapped the sides to loosen them, sprayed what looked like a whole can of WD-40 on them, and used a hammer to pull on the bolt as hard as I could. Nothing, not even enough to remove this thing. I spoke to friends and they advised me to get a tool designed for this. I got this one hoping it would help but didn't realize how much easier it would be. To be transparent, the screw provided wasn't long enough to reach…

Save time: cartridges

I was replacing an old Moen 1225 cartridge in a Moen Monticello kitchen faucet. The original faucet and cartridge were installed 10 years ago and the cartridge is stuck due to corrosion. First I tried to remove the cartridge with a vise. It didn't work so I sprayed some WD40 inside the case. I also tapped the body with a hammer and tapped the top of the cartridge with a hammer and a flathead screwdriver. The cartridge did not come out. So I googled how to remove a stuck cartridge and luckily…
