Robust hardware. Only information from personal experience.

Exactly like the photo - just had a unique situation that I wanted to share in case it helps the next person. While the cable was sufficient for my needs, my particular situation required some "manual setup". Work from home. I have a personal bridge router and a company-supplied VPN device, so I'm running the network cable all the time for my PC from one device to another. I wanted an adapter because my connection to the Cisco port has a latch for the RJ-45 on the bottom, which is not very…

The best Ethernet cable solution

The cable is ideal for facilitating access to oddly placed LAN ports: in my case, the laptop's LAN now runs right up against the chassis instead of a few inches to loom into my work area. The cable is thick and all components feel solid and well built. My only complaint is that my connector's shielding is so thick and stiff that the latch literally can't be pushed in: first I had to wedge a flathead screwdriver to loosen it, then use a knife to split the latch cover into the gap in the middle…

Need to convert an old port on your Sega Genesis to an Ethernet port? no problem!

I'm finishing up a Sega Genesis FPGA MiSTer Case mod and I needed to make a working ethernet port where the EXT port is on the back of the Genesis. This extension cable allowed me to use hot glue, glue it in place, and easily attach it to the DE-10 Nano board that was on the other side of the Genesis case. Ethernet comes in at full speed, no problem. Love it for this custom project and would recommend for any purpose.
