Dock Compatible Cable

This was the fifth (!) cable I've tried and it works perfectly. I have a docking station and laptop with USB-C which should charge the laptop and run 2 1200p monitors. Other cables defective, this one works.

Pros
  • finally available Universal Compatibility: Compatible with Thunderbolt 4/3/USB-C devices, displays, external SSDs, docking stations, latest mobile devices, eGPUs, VR devices, 10GbE adapters, laptops including Dell and Chromebooks . and backward compatible with Thunderbolt 3/2, USB 3.2 Gen 2, Gen 1, 3.1, 3.0, 2.0 devices.
Cons
  • So far so good

It is better than other MacBook models.

The Thunderbolt connector on this particular cable is way better than the others. It fits snugly and doesn't switch off often. I looked through 7 other cable brands before I found this one. Save time and money, start here

Pros
  • 8K High Definition: Supports one crystal clear 8K UHD display and two 4K displays. Spigen ArcWire delivers HD video and the best visual experience in Ultra High Definition.
Cons

Ideal for quick charging

I need a certified USB IF cable to fast charge my laptop. Other products may state that they are USB-IF certified but are not listed on the official USB website. So far, the cable works great and charges my laptop just as quickly as with the barrel connector that came with it. My laptop doesn't support Thunderbolt, but I'm sure that after an upgrade, the cable can meet all my future needs.

Pros
  • High Speed Transfer: Transfers a file at 5GB per second. With a data transfer rate of up to 40 Gbit/s you can transfer films, videos, music and pictures in seconds. Please note that this applies to devices that support 40 Gbps.
Cons
  • Reliability

Works great with Thunderbolt (see details). Recommended part number

I've always liked Spigen, although when I think of a brand I usually think of phone accessories. Given that they make a wide range of chargers, USB-C cables are easy to achieve, right? Well, I have a lot of USB-C cables. Do you know what I don't have? Thunderbolt cable. Almost all of my hardware is based on AMD processors, so I haven't worked too much in the TB ecosystem. I now have an Ice Lake laptop, a TB dock and a few PCs with TB3 on board so it's time to make sure I have the right cables…

Pros
  • What's in the box: Spigen ArcWire USB 4 cable (0.8 m), welcome guide, 24-month warranty, friendly customer service.

Good speed and enough length for a desktop

Worked well transferring 18,000 photos and videos from a Mac to an external hard drive. I bought it because the cable that came with my hard drive was ridiculously short. Great length for desktop use.

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Fits

Finally a cable that fits the docking station

This was the fifth (!) cable I've tried and it works perfectly. I have a docking station and laptop with USB-C which should charge the laptop and run 2 1200p monitors. Other cables defective, this one works.

Pros
  • Plus only
Cons
  • The cable is shorter than the others

Could NOT get a 40Gbps connection

The cable is well designed and offers data transfer rates up to 20Gbps, but I could NOT get a cable to get 40Gbps transfer to any device. Neither with external SSDs nor between Macs with at least Thunderbolt 3 ports. Next time I will try Intel Thunderbolt 3 certified cables.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Exorbitant price
