Almost excellent but instead of 2 stars

This product had everything I was looking for: 1. Displayport Switch - Good/Clear2. Switch USB - Good3. Fast switching time - bad/normal (sometimes 1 second, other 6 seconds)4. Wired remote - excellent (clearly shows the selected computer on the remote). I really wanted to like this product and wanted to use it, but it makes a huge difference! This damn thing turns itself off at random times between 2 and 15 minutes. It's beyond annoying. THAT'S CRAZY! I use it for work, writing, reading…

Works well but can be finicky with some graphics cards

Works great with 3 out of 4 PCs I have. You just wouldn't push the video. The issue was resolved by switching the monitor to DP 1.1 mode (from 1.2). In my case this isn't a problem as DP 1.1 is sufficient for the one 1440p monitor I have, but might be a problem for a 4K monitor. It could just be an older graphics card (AMD R9 270) in this PC. There is also some noise in the sound. But then again, it's analog, so not entirely unexpected. When you switch between computers, they think the monitor…

Doesn't work

Build quality seems good, case is metal, wires are all pretty thick. However, it doesn't work properly. I have a new LG 4k 27" monitor and two computers (Windows 10 and Ubuntu 18.04). Both work fine with a direct attached monitor, so I know systems can handle high resolutions. .Here is the behavior so far: Windows: Windows boot animation is visible, then nothing, no image, just black screen, KVM boots and runs fine, however when I press the switch and then switch back the resolution drops to…

Works, but annoying

Make a habit of pressing the Select key even when your computer wakes up from sleep mode and you don't switch to another computer. My LG Ultra Widescreen TV does not work in Displayport 1.2 mode with this switch. Tried several good quality cables as well as the cables that came with it. This KVM is suitable for work. Basically he does what he says. It simply won't connect to the monitor after a sleep or power failure without switching to another input and back. Mouse and keyboard switching…

Mine doesn't work

Unfortunately my block doesn't work. I installed it between the GTX 1080's DP out port and the port 1 output on the DP in port of a Dell U3415W monitor (at 3440x1440/60Hz). When the light came on, I was able to switch inputs, but the display received no signal and stayed in sleep mode. I also tried the motherboard's DP output (IGP output enabled) with the same result. It's a shame, features + quality hardware at this price point, if it worked it would be a great deal. Three of the four included

Works as advertised

First impressions are good. The device itself is quite heavy and feels very solid. I got this thing today and hooked it up an hour ago. Not sure where all the bad/less than stellar reviews are coming from, this thing works great and is exactly what I was looking for at a decent price. I don't have a very high resolution as you can see in the picture, but I'm running at 144Hz and I have FreeSync enabled on my monitor. I read the reviews. My work laptop pops up after a few seconds when I toggle…

Fits Computer and Accessories Only

I have a 3440 x 1440 monitor that I was planning to use this KVM with. Unfortunately, some videos just don't work properly. Even with the monitor set to 50Hz (DP 1.2 should easily support this monitor at 90Hz), it sometimes works at best. Most of the time it just flickers a lot before fully shutting down - often times the time misbehaves so badly with feedback from the graphics card on my desktop that it shuts down another monitor as well, not even connected to that KVM. The same goes for the…

Will not work above 60Hz. Cheap Proprietary USB Cables

These proprietary USB cables are not only very flimsy, they are also very poor. They won't work if you have a computer with worn out USB ports. You don't get electrical connection in worn ports. I had to look for an extension cord, which luckily worked. This device will most likely be used on used WELL work machines/laptops so don't skimp on cables and understand the customer. I bet this simple reason will get you lots of returns. It's not even a "cheap" device. it's expensive for what they…
