Description of 🔌 Premium 2 1/2" x 20' Clear PVC Dust Collection Hose - Ideal for Dust Collectors & Shop Vacuums

When setting up our dust collection or filtration systems we tend to have a lot of “moving parts” during this process and trying to figure out what type of line, piping or hose to use can be challenging. Dust collection hoses need to be not only long enough, but it must be durable, flexible and sturdy enough, so it won’t completely collapse in use. It must also perform under the constant use and abuse of an everyday workshop environment. This PVC hose checks all of those boxes and more!. Typically, PVC hose works best as a dust collection hose for woodworking applications where dust and chips from cutting, milling or sanding wood is a problem. This heavy-duty hose will stand up to small and large chunks of wood without getting punctured as well as handle the smallest of saw dust without leaking. PVC hose can be used as a primary line or can be plugged into and out of machinery as needed. PVC Hose (depending on diameter) can be used with dust collectors, shop vacuums, industrial vacuum systems, lawn tractor leaf catchers and a whole lot more! Simply make sure both ends of the hose are secured with hose clamps and your ready to go. The PVC hose flexes enough to weave in and out of shop machinery or table legs without kinking. Its also sturdy enough that it won’t flatten out when the dust collector is turned on. The hose has a compression ratio of 3: 1. This PVC hose is clear which allows you to see what’s going on inside the hose while the dust and debris are flowing through it. Not only can you see the dust and debris, you can also see if any build up or blockage has occurred. Being able to see this makes fixing any suction issues with the hose much easier than typical opaque hoses. While PVC Hose can be used on other machinery or devices it has been designed for dust collection purposes. The hose temperature range is -20° F to 165° F which is ideal for indoor use like in a woodworking or workshop environment. The clear hose wraps around a black carbon steel wire helix that reinforces the hose to keep it from kinking and is capable of an electrostatic discharge when properly grounded at both ends of the hose.

Well built. Very flexible but will not collapse under full vacuum.

Very strong and well pleated hose that will not collapse under full vacuum yet is very flexible. I love that the steel cable can be grounded to neutralize static electricity build up and the hose is transparent so I can see if there are any blockages. I use it as a vacuum hose for a garbage collection system on a CNC router.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • No performance

Very flexible Suitable for hoses

Flexibility comparable to professional household vacuum cleaners. Won't wrinkle when sucked up by a 6 gallon vacuum - which you would expect from a hose supported by a metal spool. Unfortunately, it doesn't retract like a household vacuum cleaner's hose; it only has a slight retraction in the area of 10% of its length. Clear PVC plastic with a slight brown tint is clear enough for practical purposes. Ideal for pipes over 2 inches, which is handy.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Secret

Works well with power tools and hand tools

I fitted connectors to both ends of a 25ft hose for use with a dust set and vacuum to remove dust when sanding grout joints and cleaning chimneys . The length allows us to keep the vacuum cleaner on the ground while working on scaffolding. Fine dust quickly accumulated on the sides, but since we didn't have any obstacles, that wasn't a problem. It is extremely flexible, making it easy to move. It compresses a bit in length when the vacuum is turned on, but not enough to interfere with work…

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Problems

Looks good. The first time I turned on a vacuum, the tube suddenly stretched to half its length. Luckily I managed to grab it and keep it from pulling too hard on my CNC spindle. I'm already worried about the weight of the spindle on the gantry, sagging, etc., smelled bad (strong smell of vinyl). I had to let him out of the house for a week. It still smells, but much less. Basically it shrinks to half its length as soon as the vacuum is turned on and expands when I turn the vacuum off…

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Boring packaging

The price was very fair. I installed this 20 foot hose into my homemade dust collection system. My only concern is that if you disconnect and then reconnect the hose, dust will collect on the ribs of the hose and sometimes spurt out. This is a bit of an issue for me as I think my system may not be ideal in terms of the amount of air it uses. This hose is very well made and connects to vacuums and 2" PVC pipe with standard hose clamps. I have also devised a simple system to pull hoses through…

Pros
  • The best
Cons
  • The packaging is ugly

Shortens when airflow is restricted

Shortens when airflow is restricted. I attached this hose to my cyclone dust collector on its 5 gallon bucket. When I finished cutting and removed the hose from the back of the table saw to clear any remaining wood and sawdust that wasn't originally sucked into the cyclone-directed airflow, dust buildup limited the end of the table saw. Tube 50% or less and fold the tube like an accordion. This knocked my dust bag over and made it come within a few feet of me. I compared it to an industrial…

  • User-friendly
