This little drum auger clears small clogs that are halfway down the drain. But here's the rub: it comes with a thumbscrew (which secures the snake as the drum spins) that screws into a cheap, very easy-to-break plastic nut. This is a good product for larger clogs in sink and tub drains. I've also used it to unclog clogs in 4" main drain lines that lead to the street (assuming the clog is within 25 feet of that line).
