Description of COODIA Electric Aquarium Automatic Extractor

4 in 1 design that it combines the gravel cleaner, water changer, alge cleaner and waste extractor. Ideal for complete aquarium cleaning or quick spot maintenance. With the pump installed close to the end allows you to clean the tanks with lower water leavel compared with other cleaners. A strong pump easily removes particles from topmost layer of substrate without disturbing the bottom layer of gravel. The filter bag collects the particles and dirts while the clear water is returned to the tank. Easy to take apart for cleaning. Unlike the other electric cleaners, this COODIA grave cleaner runs on DC 12V, which is safe voltage provided by an adapter( the input of adapter is 110V).

Garbage piece for fish and aquatic animals

The position of the filter bag means you cannot see what you are doing. The suction wasn't very strong as it didn't even pick up turtle droppings from the bottom of the tank. The angle prevents you from easily moving around in the tank without emptying the filter bag overboard, creating a mess everywhere. I would not recommend this product to anyone as it is cheap and difficult to use.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Not sure

I like that the water doesn't run out when vacuuming. It doesn't clean gravel as well as a gravity siphon. This is fine for my needs. I vacuum with this coodia and then drain the needed amount of water with a siphon hose to swap for fresh water. I would recommend disabling the filter during the process. The reason for the 4 stars is that the supplied siphon hose is too short and not as effective as a regular siphon cleaner.

  • Pleasant to use

WOW. best shovel!

I have a 20 gallon tank at ground level. I fell in love with African Dwarf Frogs when they stood in 10 gallons in my kitchen. So I long bought 20 gallons and converted from 10 gallons. I decided to put it on the floor, in front of and under the TV/stand. 20 gallons long means more ADF too! Crazy, right? I knew pumping would be a problem. I didn't care because I knew there would be an electrical vacuum somewhere "out there". I also used it on my 75 gallons and two dirty photos prove how much my…

Makes tank cleaning easier

Compared to my previous cleaning, this made cleaning my tanks a breeze. I really liked how I could remove and replace the water, especially when my tank is far from the sink requiring me to carry fresh water in buckets or gallon jugs. At least now I don't have to lift water and carefully pour it out (usually splashing). The only thing that worked well in my 10 gallon tank but not in my 30 gallon tank was a small trash bag. I wish it was bigger because it filled up in seconds when trying to…

Clean my tanks well for gravel cleaner

I liked the idea of the pump being in the water.1. This made the gravel cleaner much safer to use than products where the waterline was almost entirely on the pole. This made it difficult for them to reach the water level in small pools. 2. In my opinion the part where all the dirt goes through the overflow with a mesh bag is too high on the bar. If you're not careful, water will flow everywhere. 3. If you use a gravel cleaner, it just doesn't have enough power to clean properly. In my opinion…

The perfect all-purpose cleaner for your aquarium

The first image shows the length of the power cord for access to any size aquarium. The second picture shows the aquarium cleaner with the telescoping tube fully folded in and fits completely in my 29 gallon aquarium. The telescopic tube extends to efficiently clean a larger tank. The last two pictures show a suction cup with a perforated screen inside. This effectively prevents fish or gravel from being sucked through the tube into the filter bag. This screen allows you to dip the vacuum…

I like it! 16 years keeping turtles in the aquarium.

Why didn't this happen 16 years ago?! I like it. My turtle shell gets dirty quickly. My 16 year old tortoise is dirty. Over the years I have tried dozens of aquarium cleaners and products. I have tried siphon vacuum with 3 different products. I've spent hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars trying to figure out how to properly clean Miss Turtle's tank. I finally found it. Wonderful. Fiction. I can't believe something so wonderful can be so cheap! I love it. A few tips: At first glance, it…

Really works. Great for the price (although towels are included)

Overall: recommended! Pros: Really works! Automatically sucks Cons: Dirty Works slow As you can see in the photo, it works great! I have a lot of sludge flowing from the bottom of the aquarium. You can also adjust the suction level, which is good if you have fine/light gravel (like most gravel tanks, I use EcoComplete). For some reason I can't start vacuuming with a low tech gravel vacuum, so I NEED an electric gravel vacuum. Maybe I'm using it wrong, but I have water EVERYWHERE. Although I…

Poor design not suitable for small aquarium

Obviously it was designed for at least 20 gallon aquariums so trying to use it in my small 6Ga is a mess but worse, it is not even suitable for the intended use! Problems: The vacuum cleaner is almost a meter long, but the hose that comes with it is literally shorter than the vacuum cleaner itself. Forget the bucket on the floor, better place it DIRECTLY next to the aquarium or the hose won't reach. Speaking of the hose, it's made of low-quality plastic and bent. So if you don't hold the hose…
